Even if I don't spill anything the stupid spout on my "safety" gas can leaks the entire time I'm filling my tank... I'm definitely buying this kit thank you for the recommendation.

I thought I was the only one! I'm so glad this video was the first search result for 'press n pour leaks', on Google of all things! I'm so tired of trying to pour gas like I three arms, and to have a constant leak of gas out of the press 'n pour button. This isn't safe at all!!!! Ordering the spout to fix this now...!!!

You can use a tire valve for the vent cap. Just remove the stem, and use a wire hanger and your imagination to get it seated.

    This was such a great vid, why....well here’s WHY🤣
My brother-in-law & Dad we’re trying to fill the new generator my brother-in-law bought for hurricane Dorian this year. They were trying to fill the generator with the recent purchase of, you guessed it, a gas can like this🤣. My Dad went down to help & after 5 mins, he didn’t return. I walked down to see what was going on; as, how many ppl does it take to fill a gas tank full of gas? Well, including me, that’s 3 ppl😅. I’m like what’s happening, & they’re like.....”we can’t figure out how to get the gas out”. Did you read directions on the can? “Of course we did....they ARE pictures ya know......AND make absolutely no sense!”. Well, I grab the can, unscrew that stupid “spill proof safety funnel thingy, & pour the gas out into the tank. Took me all of 5 seconds🤣
Did put back on & show them that squeezing the green “trigger” released the gas out of the can.... They just weren’t squeezing & bending it hard enough.
Great Vid Clint, & it reminded me of that story(you had me LMAF/ROTF with the gas running down your leg etc....been there🤣). Something “so so” easy shouldn’t make 2 grown men curl into a ball on the ground & wanna cry, right...... The issue I have with these stupid things is this: my Mother suffers from arthritis in her hands & there is no way in HECK (LOL) that she’d be able to squeeze & bend the nozzles to get the gas out if she needed (like running out of gas, or filling up a generator etc....); so we always end up modifying these babies when we buy them....or buy the normal nozzles for couple bucks👍🏻
    Cheers✌🏼

Thanks for the awesome story Aepek... love hearing stories like this. Haha, the gas running down my leg actually has a bit of truth to it. When I got this can last week, I realized that it didn't have a handle on the back. I was fighting the can and of course it started leaking all over me and the ground. I still can't get the smell off me and my clothes, but though it would be funny if I blew it out of proportion a bit loo

Hint: I use a dual fuel generator and run it on propane which never goes bad and is safer to store. I do keep gasoline as a backup but have never once had to use it. Cheers!

I can't believe you have a video on this because that safety gas can with the spring crap on mine keeps breaking. I would move next door but I like Texas weather better. 😂😂

I believe the reason they give you two caps with the hole in it is because one is fine thread and one is course thread.

Proof that "newer" technology doesn't always mean "better." Moving parts on a tube? Yeah, thanks EPA!🤣🤣 Thanks and God bless!😁

After the half inch hole is drilled for the relief valve. There are plastic shards in the bottom of the gas can.
    When will someone address this?

Okay, I thought I was using it wrong. I’m thinking, so, this button makes me have to keep one hand on the nozzle and have to support the 5 gallons with one and a half hands. Glad I am strong enough not to drop it, but even then, it’s not easy. The gas comes out slow because no true vent; I guess the button has a vent, because it easily leaks if tilted too much and/or has too much gas. How is this a. Safer and b. How did it pass any safety tests that the previous one wouldn’t?

I seriously hate the new gas cans. I have an older can my dad bought in the early 90’s that is the best sealing, best angled pour, SOLID plastic gas can I own. Nothing I can buy today even remotely compares.
