A great men’s Bolo is Taylor Stitch. I sold a plaid long sleeve shirt for $60 and bought it for $5. They are very well made and the jackets can go for a whole lot more. Great video and thanks for some new Bolo’s to be on the lookout for.

I found a men's Vuori hoodie AT THE BINS ... didn't know what it was, but it was so soft! Sold on ebay for $69 + shipping! Haven't seen one since bit you know I'm in the lookout!

3 years ago in Cincinnati Ohio I was at my favorite thrift store that always has the best bolo brands. I came across a simple Bohemian top I knew it was something but I didn't know the brand and it was Magnolia pearl! I put it in my cart and didn't research it until I got home and I about fell on the floor I had never heard of that brand before. I listed it on poshmark in eBay And it's sold within 10 minutes for a $125 I only paid a $1.50 for the T-shirt! That was definitely one of my OMG moments! I also will sometimes buy home goods I try to look for vintage but I don't know much about it I found a plate that I knew look like it was from the 60s it was made in Italy. It was a dinner plate it had a giant lizard on it in that 60s green color It was ugly but I knew it was unique. It was 1$ I knew I could get something for it on eBay so I bought it that was another oh my God moment it was worth $550 at an auction I listed it on eBay for $250 it's sold in 5 minutes full asking price

Have never, ever found Magnolia Pearl in the wild. You might have a better chance in Northern California!! Hope you find it!! I clicked on the link for Kelley, and it said it is not available.

That is smart. Don't over spend. Sell stuff from your own closet while you are still learning. Maybe friends will give you stuff to sell. Once you feel more confident, then you can take risks with higher end stuff. Xo Quenby

Great tips! Inlive in Canada, fewer choice of brands floating around so it’s helpful to hear your recommendations. I’m always on the lookout for Lillysilk, which I found once and resold for over $80 very fast. Smash&Tess also seems to have a cult following. Mine is a small, curated closet of preloved and vintage though, and I focus on the style, the quality and condition before the brand.

I found a Faherty sweater recently at my local Goodwill for $7.99. Obviously no one recognized it, Nothing special just a burnt orange cotton pullover sweater in a loose weave. It sold for $36 plus shipping with a 10% off coupon in 48 hours, . I find Prahna a lot at this store and Athleta, Never Lululemon and not any of the other brands common to more affluent areas of California. I don't think you'd find these brands in places like Stockton or Tulare. I live in the Puget Sound area which can be affluent but is mostly rural where people are outdoorsy but not into designer gear like in California. We see a lot of REI Kelty North Face and Eddie Bauer, and they get used a lot, so if you don't live in an affluent area you're going to be frustrated. It pays to understand and become familiar with good brands you are more likely to find. Unless you think its worth the gas and extra time to drive a couple of hours to somewhere like Seattle, or one of its ultra affluent suburbs. I find a lot of foreign brands from all over the place and fabrics like baby alpaca from South America, because people here are into travel. So I look for those things to maintain my mental health.
Hi Kathy, thanks for this great comment. I agree with you that you need to know what is possible in your area. We do not all have equal opportunity. I think traveling to thrift can be worth it if you have a bins where things are so cheap you can justify the travel. Many resellers do travel to more affluent areas but plenty of resellers make a living on bread and butter Mall Brands. It works. You have to sell more quantity though. Thanks so much xo Quenby

Goodwill in Vacaville had a lot of nice designer brands. But unfortunately, most were a size 0 or small. And, very outdated, and too Dressy. Those don't sell very well for me. It wasn't a wasted trip, though. They had an unadvertised sale on all Christmas items. $1 on anything! We found vintage glass ornaments, vintage Keepsake ornaments, etc. So, we left happy. Here's another bolo, if you sell men's clothing. Vintage 1990s or later carhartt jackets sell $200 and more. Cinch shirts are $40 if in good condition. Redwing steel toe boots. Men's clothing sells better for me.

I notice that about Poshmark as well with the higher dollar sales.
