Yes...I am aware of the slight editing glitch at the very end of the show. That's what I get for paying the production staff with old boxes of wax paper.
Scott, seeing the red and green glass out on your table, brought back memories of Christmas dinner at my grand parents home on Welsh Road, the land was considered “out in the country “, back in time. The kids table was decorated with white Batenburg lace tablecloth, all red glass and sterling silver serving pieces. As kids we felt special having our own table, we even had a tray filled with black and green olives and celery. One of my sisters would grab the ribbon candy from one of the numerous Candy Bowls in the house and come back and put the pieces in with celery and olives, we would bought we were pretty hot stuff, no adult ever caught us! So how would you like your turkey and mashed potatoes with a nest of gravy to enjoy your ribbon candy and chocolate straws with 🎄🤣😂🎄. All of the adults at the big person’s table are looking down and laughing at us now! It certainly is interesting what a view from Heaven does to everyone, positive and happy vibes all around , 💃🎄🧤🧣☃️🍫🍾🍽️🤶, Happy Holidays to All!
Enjoying the beautiful glass and am so inspired to get out my red glasses! I love that you mix the green and red together, it makes it that much more festive.
You blowing that horn reminds me of After the Thin Man, which I usually watch on New Years Eve, that, or Radio Days. In After the Thin Man there's a crucial New Years Eve section, and in the nightclub scene they perform a number called Blow That Horn, while tossing rather large toy instruments out to the revelers. Some are seen ducking, probably after some head injuries after the first take. Anyway, a fun vlog, and I might be able to make the tail end of tomorrow's live sale. I always hate to think of the goodies I miss! Have fun!
I cooked a pot Roast dinner for my husband on our first date! He said he was most impressed that I showed him my unbreakable dishes. I flung a coffee cup at the wall (Anchor hocking) it shattered! Then the party began 😁
50 some ° oh my gosh that’s cold and I’m even going thru hot flashes lol. Lamps are so cool. I have 20 in my house plus 4 extra in the attic. I do not like over head lights. Soooo yeah. Looking forward to 8:00 pm Sunday
I only buy dishes for 4. But occasionally I’ll do for 3 or 5. I have a small round table. Seats 4 or 5 if we crowd a bit. I’m alone so 3 is enough if I have my daughter and her husband over. My days of entertaining large groups are long over. But I do love to entertain and set a gorgeous table. I just have to downsize everything. Anything described as large I have to walk away.
YES, I had my HVAC replaced last year. It was 45 years old. i also replaced my daughter's unit next door. So the total was $30,000. I about told the guy forget it. But he offered me free financing over a year. I took it and believe it or not I was able to pay it off. The only problem now is that I still pay through the nose to PGE on my bill!!!!!!!! Even in Ca. the house gets very cold.
The pitcher is Doyle and Company which was only in operation 1868-1891 and this pattern, Hobnail with Fan Edge was introduced in 1888. I've got my eye on it, so back off ladies:) I'll have to see what Christmas decorations you bring out first..The Rock Crystal McKee vase is a beauty, it all is!
@@oldcuriosityshop265 yes! She had hers in the 40's and 50's. I'm now 77. Her mother had quite a few of the same dishes you have. Sunday dinners were the best, after church. We got to eat in the main dining room at her beautiful dining table and she used all her good dishes for that meal. Fond memories.
We lost power several years ago in December for about 5 days. The power didn’t come back on until Christmas Day night. It was extremely cold that year and I wore about five layers of clothes. We had a propane heater to keep our house about 50 in the daytime so the pipes wouldn’t freeze but we wouldn’t run it at night for safety sake. Not a pleasant experience.
As teenagers in the 1970's, my siblings and I were tasked with toting and stacking firewood logs as my father cut down trees on his property. This was done well ahead since you could not properly burn green cut wood. A fire burning wood stove was placed into the living room. The prices were crazy high, fuel shortages, and this action did save the household budget. Brrr! QUESTIONS...DOES IT GET COLD ENOUGH WHERE IT COULD DAMAGE YOUR GLASS WHETHER STORED IN ATTIC OR MAIN FLOOR? WHAT TEMPERATURE SHOULD ONE WORRY? I DO REALIZE THAT QUICK TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATIONS ARE A PROBLEM.
Naw.....I grew up here and have never had a piece of glass crack in the attic. Of course the cold of the winter and the cold of the summer isn't friendly to some items which should not be stored in the attic.
The mugs are named after the popular beverage called 'Tom and Jerry'... "Tom and Jerry is a hot drink made with egg batter, brandy, rum, and warm milk. It's similar to eggnog but has a whipped, silky texture" The drink was popular in the 1800's

😂
The green and red glass is perfect for Christmas. Glad you got your heater fixed. Pot roast sounds wonderful, but so does a slice!😊❤
I seriously suspect you have Umpalumpas in a factory kicking out these pieces, especially the punch bowls ! You’re the Wonka of glass ! ♥️💚♥️💚
The mirror looks beautiful behind you Scott
Now that it’s 12/01, I’m ready to decorate for Christmas. And you just helped put me in the mood for it.

That cat playing the tambourine kills me every
time
I got a new boiler in early October…..after 60 years with the old one. The new one is small efficient and a beautiful green!!

😮😮😮😅😅😅
Love to see ornaments! I can’t wait to see. See you later Scott good night.
That roast sounds delicious! Yummm!
Scott, there is nothing wrong with tooting your own horn...especially when there is no one else around to do it for you!
Wow, all that Christmas glass is so pretty. I've got an oval green glass with the silver handle.
Beautiful lamps. I hope the Blk ginger jar and etech glass set make it up again soon.
😊😊Glorious glass ware selection
It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner. Put away our Autumn and unbox Christmas. So much fun.😊
One day, someday, I want to make a pot roast!
You must!!
@ you’re right❣️🤭
Braised beef shanks cooked same way 3hrs in oven great too.
@ ohhh la-la! Sounds so good!!
Just save up for about six or eight months and you will be able to!

I'm not a fan of overhead lights either.
I think you should go to a rescue and get another kitty!
I've been nagging Scott on and off to get himself a robust ginger mouser!
I love you share your life. ❤

Careful on those stairs, my friend!😲looking forward to monday nite sale🎄🎄🎄
I have a lot of that same red and green Hocking glass, that I have yet to use.
You and the stairs. Hilarious!!
We live in an 1850s 2 story brick home and the windows are original and thin! I'm el'cheapo. We keep our thermostat at about 60.
60? You take a shower in a 60 degree bathroom? I like the cold but that is a bit too chilly for me.

My word. I was under the impression that the average HVAC unit only lasted between 15 to 25 years max.
I can't believe it lasted 45 years! WOW!

Pretty dishware Scott. Would like to see a tour of your home. Your burgandy drapes are like ones my Mother had in our living room when I was a kid.
Thank you. I was thrilled when I found these drapes which date to the 1930's.

You have a wonderful set of knees! I could never go up and down those attic stairs.

Love the table lamp you were sitting beside drinking coffee.Which pizza did you have?
Oh I'm simple....just 2 regular old plain slices.
I just had a new heater installed 2 weeks ago. Mine was on it's last leg and sounded like a freight train. It was $6200.00. Merry Christmas to me!
Did that include AC too or just heat?

I collect rock crystal. I have a clear set
Stop tootin your own horn. Love the tablecloth.
👍👍👍
I had a new HVAC $12,000 later.
I keep my house no higher than 64 degrees, ever. Well, in winter time, at least.😊
❤️🕊️😊
Do you have red square dinner plates ?
I sold all of my square Charm pattern dinner plates by Anchor Hocking.
Why is it called Tom and Jerry? Is it named after the cartoon or is the cartoon named after the cup?
