Living at the West coast we can get fresh fish. We love fish for dinner! I have melted butter with dill or a cold sauce we call ' Remouladsås '. I like boild cod with melted butter and potatoes best.
It depends of the type of fish I'm having. A battered piece of halibut I think needs a tartar sauce. But baked salmon is best with just a little butter.
Oh goodness. For my fish, I like fresh lemon, a bit of pepper, and a splash of melted butter. Yum! Bass is my favorite fish caught in this part of the country.
Love the silver plated bread basket. The fierce wild animals are supposed to be a deterrent for uncle Henry so he doesn’t hog all the Cloverleaf rolls at Thanksgiving dinner! I look forward to joining you for your live sale tonight.I just like to come for the fun and excitement. I will happily cheer on the other folks bidding on treasures tonight!🎉👏🤗
Never made fish at home. I live in Charleston SC so I go and get my fish in a restaurant. I like broiled fish with a lil butter. I love spaghetti-O’s without the meatballs lol. I love the trivets and green tin serving tray ❤️❤️Look forward to this evening
We live smack dab in the middle of the country in Podunk USA. Our little restaurant in town has catfish every Wednesday. We like ours with malt vinegar on the side. Yum
The footed sauce boat was probably meant to hold either Beurre Blanc or Bearnaise sauce, both of which are excellent with seafood. I think much can be said about enjoying seafood's natural flavor as you do, but trust me: a fantastic Beurre Blanc or Bearnaise will take it to the next level!
My homemade. Used to be with salad dress. But now my go to for all is Ranch. Better flavor, So it's ranch, diced pickles, a dab of French's Horseradish mustard, a sprinkling of sugar and a drop of milk. Garlic Salt & pepper. My fish is fresh water walleye, ocean fish is shrimp. And river fish is pre sockeye salmon with a squeeze of lemon.. I think those are what's classified as "Gargoyles" on the silver bowl. They're imaginary creatures you find on old buildings or many things.
I don't like any fish or seafood. My father was so mad I refused his Walleye, that he made me sit at the dining room overnight, then the following night. No other food. I do put sauce on chicken. I would use it for a gravy boat. 😃 Beautiful colors.
Now, Scott, I thought that you would have remembered that your 1910 birthday was on a Sunday! Didn't you have a birthday cake with Sunday dinner after church? 😅
Well, I eat salmon. I prefer smoked salmon, though. If I put something on it, it’s usually just a little mayo and mustard mixed together. I’m a very big fan of mayonnaise….I should probably be buying mayonnaise bowls. I was even on board with replacing eggs with mayonnaise in chocolate cake that mother consistently did in the 80s. I guess the ultimate answer is Mayonnaise!
@oldcuriosityshop265 - something is going on. I can't comment unless its a comment. 😢 I have a pullchain lamp that just stopped working sooo I will be looking forward to that video. I dont want to throw it out. Only Lemon with my fish. I had salmon today....yummy!!
I vote for taking each Sunday off.
Everyone needs a break and time to spend with family and friends, especially during the holidays. 🤷🏼♀️🥰
I just might do that!
Sunday is a “day of rest” for all of us!!
I agree! I adore Scott, but everyone needs "down time" Yes for Sundays off ❤
I figure God meant for us to take Sundays off so that we'd be rested and refreshed and, therefore, NICER to each other the rest of the week. 😊😊😊
Homemade tarter sauce
I have that style of dresser. It was a family heirloom. I don't use the mirror, but I it does have the boxes on top! :D

Hey, Scott. At least you can rightfully say that your lunch was made by a Chef! LOL 😆 😂😅.
There used to be 18 meatballs in a can and my sister and I would carefully count out 9 meatballs for each of our bowls.
We didn't count out the O's 😅
We get white fish and trout here locally. Right out of Lake Superior.
I prefer lemon pepper on my fish - no breading. Love your finds!
Sounds delicious!
Fryed catfish with tartar sauce and hushpuppys.
😊😊😊if you remember, at another time will you talk about the numbers on the brass lamp bases?
Great old lamp socket tip 🙌🏻

I'm not big on fish except flounder and shell fish and Scallops. Fresh squeeze of lemon and maybe tartar sauce.

I’m going to bed. Hope everyone has fun at the sale!
Please take Sunday off to refresh and renew. This season feels like it will be a long one. When you work for yourself it’s hard to find that balance.

Grew up in Charleston SC and my first word was "crab". I won't touch fish with a 10 foot pole. 😂 ok.. maybe I'd try a fish stick with tartar.. maybe.

No not at all. Perhaps I'll made a video someday on that topic. Thanks for asking.
