Thank you! I have found that many tango dancers are simply not strong enough to maintain safe/correct posture in order to have good technique, so the only way to avoid injuries, is to get stronger :-)
@@elizabethwartluft7609 I have a terrible-terrible posture. Sitting in front of a computer for 10 hours does that to a person. I am constantly corrected by my instructor. He is digging his fingers on my spine to get rid of the hunch.. I also forget my legs and move below the knees .. I am new and determined , so you help me a lot. I wish I was near Oregon! !
@@nalaybeyoglu find a good chiropractor, a good Pilates or personal trainer person, etc. and focus on that: you need your back to be functional not just for tango, but for life in general. No one wants to be in a wheelchair in later life, so it is worth the effort NOW.
Thanks! I try to incorporate any tips I learn from Pilates, yoga, etc., and "steal" any exercises/props that could work for tango. Always trying to think out of the box :-)
Here is what I ordered from Amazon: Fassgen Fitness Gliding Discs Core Sliders (2-Pack)--but most of them have one side with hard plastic to slide on carpet, and the other side has a fabric/soft surface to slide on floors.
