Well considering all your efforts and hardworking staff especially the deadline he gave you was ridiculous and working under an impossible timetable. You guys certainly earnt your money but I wouldn't have spent that amount on it. Great work guys! You should be very proud of yourselves!😁👍
@@GreenJeep1998I agree buddy. The time he gave them in the beginning was a joke on it's own! Let alone him bringing it forward and expected the impossible by adding more work! I would have charged him twice that amount! Plus people should be held accountable and once the design or decision has been agreed upon it shouldn't be allowed to be changed by the customer unless it's mutually agreed upon with the staff. Giving businesses unrealistic time frames is not fair and they would have been under so much pressure restoring that old Mack. When people rush a job there's more pressure and stress put on that person or their workers and he's just lucky they managed to pull it off. There's nothing worse than rushing a job especially a custom restoration job.
There is something call A contract. Get the owner to Sign one and Avoid his Nonsense with Constant Charges and Rushing the Shop Owner to get job done.
Some people ain't got the time but there pockets are deep I done this with my business an told other customers I got a huge check if you wanna drop then fine but money comes first especially from a huge client you been serving since the start. That guy is huge in heavy haul loads an got the beat record on book. Never lost a load never damaged the product an never was late his fleet his work. Get it done.
There is a reason why they went bankrupt and are out of business now.

I dropped $16 on my 1076 R Modal (day cab) Artic White paint job.
2 weeks later, I'm scuffing the hood, and matt blacking it. lol!
It took him 3 months, but worth every dime.

Im guessing you guys are in Australia. Where are you getting parts for these old macks? I'm 20 minutes from the Mack plant in macungie pa and we have a hard time getting parts.

Its nice to have money. Worked hard and enjoy. My supercharger on my built 427 maloo is already 30k and that was last year. Dont know how long ago this was done but today money 70k wouldn't get you that far.

How many E-9 v8sare in australiyer? Are you guys hoarding 3408s' also?
@@rickstrandberg6398 There's nothing quite like a E9 v8 here in the UK we got Scania v8s that sound nice but not quite the same, we do get E9s in older Renault Magnums pack Mack v8s but we never see Cat 3408s sadly I've seen a few at truck shows.

Plenty of 3408s in Australia. Not a great deal of them in highway trucks. There is a TH-cam channel of a bloke with a cabover kenworth that does roadtrains with a 3408 in it. Gm something his channel is called. Maybe someone reading my comment can stear you to his channel. Though getting rarer, there is still quite a few of these e9 v8s getting around Brisbane most of them i see are either pulling tri axle tippers or they're truck and 4 axle dog configuration tippers (pretty sure you call them truck and pup, similar). There was and still is plenty of superliners in Australia though they're getting rarer to see. The truck in this video was very popular in day cab configuration for the oil companies towing B-double tankers when i was a kid. They were light tare weight and 500hp and at the time nothing was really close. Superliners were also very popular across the board as roadtrain primemovers and heavy haul work.
