I'm not entirely sure. He was Bach's cousin though. It's also good to avoid confusing him with Johann Walter (the first Lutheran Cantor; he assisted Luther with the publication of the first Lutheran Hymnal, Formula Missae, and the Deutsche Masse).

Old Lutheran tune , set to some beautiful hymns . Wallther ? Maybe an ancestor of CFW Walther of LCMS fame .
