Comparing 2 of the best hot springs in the Northern Territory (Mataranka vs Bitter Springs)

Touring / overlanding Australia we have come across lots of incredible hot springs, but Mataranka and Bitter Springs seems to be divided between traveller as to which one is the best. In this video we answer the big question, which hot spring is better Mataranka or Bitter Springs? We compare them against each other comparing 7 different criteria’s (water temp, water clarity, busyness, facilities, swimming area, scenery and relation scale) to ultimately find out which one is the best and what time of the day you should visit.

Bitter Springs wigged me out, couldn't stop thinking about crocs while swimming the circuit. Rangers do a great job of keeping them away from tourist areas but it's entirely possible for a cheeky salty to slither on in unnoticed and give ya toe a nibble.

Yes it does have that vibe 😂. I spoke to a traveler a couple of days ago who was there 2 days after us and he said bitter springs was shut because they found a croc up steam no to far from the swimming hole. 🤔🤯. Thanks for watching 😊
