4 Solitude
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 16 พ.ค. 2022
We're Shan and Na (Shannon and Naomi) at the end of 2021 we decided that it was time for a complete life change, so we sold our house in Sydney and our business, now we are travelling around Australia in our Patrol looking for new adventures and seeking moments of solitude.
Please subscribe to our channel to follow our adventures as we search 4 solitude.

Why we are quitting YouTube 🥲
Yep, it’s true no click bait, we have decided to quit TH-cam, this video will be our final video, it explains why and of course we thank you guys truly from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all your support.
One thing that we didn’t touch on in the video is that this was a hard decision for us to make, so much so that it took us almost 4 weeks after deciding to film it. We did discuss making videos until we get back home to NSW, but we ultimately felt like we needed to take the rest of what is left of our time on the road to rest, reset and just suck it in and really be present.
Thank you again for all your support, we wish you all the best and if you ever see us out and about, please say hi.

Is this better than Python Pool? Exploring 2 swimming holes in Millstream Chichester National Park
มุมมอง 2.8K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
This week we explore the incredible Millstream Chichester National Park, did you know that it has 2 swimming holes? Its famous for Python Pool but that’s only 1 of its 2 swimming holes, is Deep Reach Pool better? And Shan whips up some dinner and given he doesn’t cook very often I was scared, and his first taste test almost blows his socks off, Shan also gets to pick up a parcel something that ...

This week we take you behind the scenes and show you a glimpse into what it’s really like to live full time on the road travelling Australia, we finalise off our April budget, camp on the side of the road, service the car (DIY), show you the editing process, take an outdoor shower and more oh and the Patrol gets a bit of bling, it’s a massive few days resetting after our incredible time on the ...
Exploring the best of Exmouth Cape Range National Park (P.S we swim with a turtle WOW!)
มุมมอง 6K5 หลายเดือนก่อน
Cape Range National Park is home to the Ningaloo Reef, and we have been told while we are here there are two snorkelling spots that we just can’t miss, and it didn’t disappoint, we even swim with a turtle. It also has a beach that’s constantly voted among the best beaches on earth. But Exmouth has two sides, so we get up for a sunrise to explore Charles Knife Canyon, let’s just say wow. Follow ...
Finding the perfect private beach while exploring Warroora Station
มุมมอง 2K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
We have made it to Warrora Station on the Ningaloo Reef, the original plan was to spend 4 nights here but with Shan’s trip to emergency and then us heading south to Perth to buy the rooftop tent we are running behind. So, we only have 1 full day to explore this incredible location and boy do we get lucky finding our own private beach on the northern end of the station, before heading to the sou...

Exploring Francios Peron National Park in Shark Bay, it has a bit of everything from waterfront camping, incredible sunrises, soft sand 4wding, to the most magnificent coastlines you will ever see, BUT things don’t go to plan, and we are forced to leave Shark Bay for a medical emergency. Steep Point, exploring Shark Bay, Edel National Park (Coral Coast Part 4)
มุมมอง 7K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
This week we are exploring Edel National Park, which is home to Steep Point the most westerly point in mainland Australia, but to get there we first must drive through the corrugations and then a nice big sand dune. We camp at Faultline campground which turns out to be a challenge, but before all of this we find ourselves camped alone at False Entrance with a secluded swimming hole which turns ...

We start exploring the Murchison River with the pelican feeding then head upstream on a 4x4 track to experience the river and fishing spots. We take in sunrise at the fa...

best of luck with everything guys! i have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos, you have inspired myself & my partner to get out there and explore australia! im gonna miss watching your videos before bed everynight ):
You were lucky that you could get fuel when you chose not to buy the expensive stuff , so often the next place is out of fuel completely .
I cannot find anyone to ship San Hima to the US. The only option for my 100 series Landcruiser are the Clearviews and they are twice as much $$$. Any ideas anyone on getting these shipped to the US? San Hima $329 on their website -- Clearview $579
Just discovered your channel - and then found you're stopping😢 I've got some catching up to do. Maybe when I'm finished you'll be back🙂
Bit late now since you cut the straps. But Sea to Summit have replacement buckles that you slide screw through the loop to replace the broken clip.
Nice review. I just wonder if the silver blink works with your workmate.
Hi there. I couldn't quite get where you said you'd like to live - I thought for a minute you were saying Broome, which of course is in WA. Could you clarify? Good luck in your TH-cam 'retirement'. I get where you're coming from - I've been a photographer all my life, which is consuming enough when I travel. Last time around, on a trip through the Middle East, Nepal and India I decided to do some video as well - what a nightmare! Between the two I felt a total slave to the cameras and it sucked a lot of the enjoyment out of the trip. I swore I'd never do it again and will just stick to my stills photography from now on.
We will miss you guys!
What time of year was this?

That was awesome to watch. Very chilled, informative and beautiful scenery above and below water. Just subscribed.
Glad you enjoyed it, we loved the snorkeling
We will never sell our house, the kids can live in it and we will come and go as we please. That's our plan..
Always good to have a home base, it was important to us to move out of Sydney so selling was a must just never expected to still not have a home, guess sometimes things just don’t go to plan and you have to adapt but boy I look forward to having a home again.
@4solitude4S copy that we live in the country in Central Qld, so I get the whole getting out of Sydney.
All the best guys see you on the Gram 👌🏼
Thanks 🙏
You 2 will be sadly missed on utube I've loved watching your videos and how honest both of you's have been I love you both ❤️ it's a start of a new adventure for both of you's but a very sad day for me . By by .

We are definitely going to miss all you guys too, thanks for all the support and happy binge watching. 😊👍
Sorry to see you go guys! We've enjoyed your content but also understand the need for solitude! It's what we love too and what we share on our channel. But for how long who knows! We now have a base in the Flinders Ranges between travels and you're welcome any time! But hopefully we will see you out on the road! 🤠 There is nothing like the wide open, quiet spaces and we try to stay away from all the populated places! 🤣 Good luck. Hope all works out for your new home base!
Thanks guys for the lovely comment, it means so much to us!! What a special place for a home base it is definitely one of our favourite. Enjoy your travels and saver the moments of solitude. Thanks again!!!😊
wish you guys the best. been watching for a long time. hopefully a monthly video of your daily lives or something like that would be cool. goodluck with the move and best wishes for the future.
Thanks for all the support and following along for so long. You never know what could happen in the future. Thanks again 😊👍

@@4solitude4S your very welcome
What a shame, pretty good channel.
Thanks mate
@@4solitude4S no worries, I hope you guys sort out what you need and get back to making videos. Was just a good honest channel. Take it easy guys.
All the best on your next journey.. really enjoyed tuning in and checking out your adventures. . I guess I might have to get off the couch and start my own soon now! Take care
Thanks for all your support, do it, we would love to you see out exploring
All good things come to and end or so they say. It has been a wonderful journey thank you so much for taking us all with you. All the very very best for the future... I am sure you will find solitude. Thanks again ❤
Thanks heaps mate, like I said before we really appreciate all your thoughtful comments and support over the years. It has meant a lot to us 😊🤗
Great Video. Sad to see you guys leave. It's been wonderful watching your travels. Getting out while you have a chance to go. TH-cam is reaching saturation point in WA with couples and families competing for viewers on their channels. They are all going to the same locations at different times. Many now rely on Clickbait for viewers . Good luck for the future, and thanks for the fantastic memories.
Thanks 🙏 the market is definitely saturated but we can’t stand clickbait
Yes, there's a surprise. Could not find Boome in NSW... but maybe see you around Port Macquarie? Thanks for your videos and passionate engagement. I'll miss them.
Thanks, there is a high chance you could see us in port Mac, Shans mum lives there, make sure you say hi if you see us around.
Sad to see you go yous are real not like a lot of the other utubers
Thanks mate, what you see is what you get with us 🤣
I will miss you guys as a fellow Sydneysider.Have enjoyed every minute. But as other you tubers ,small and higher profile ones are finding out,it doesn't pay the bills,it costs more to go out and make a video than you ever make and family, friends and work are a higher priority.Nice to do member activities and 4wd camping trips and leaving cameras behind.too much work.cheers guys.all the best.
We never set out to get rich but you do need to cover the bills. Thanks for your support
Always good to have a home base to come back to as travelling is a busy lifestyle. You should rethink You Tube we just make videos when we feel like it and never worry about subscribers or anything but just use the platform as a place to put our videos for our kids and friends to watch. You are going into a new chapter and you might feel at times things you would like to share. You Tube and having to supply a video every week takes away the fun of travel and turns it into a job which why people get tired of You Tube. Keep your options open....
Thanks for the advice
Nooooooooooooo😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Sorry it was such a hard decision we cried too 😢😢😢😢😢
We'll miss you
😢 we will miss everyone too
