    Is your mic plugged in to your Gaming PC or the Streaming PC?
    I know it functions as a capture card and sends game/desktop audio from Gaming PC > Streaming PC, I just want to know if I can keep my mic plugged into my Gaming PC and still have it come across stream.

    • @G.E.T
      @G.E.T  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ok so that question has a 2 part answer,….my mic is plugged into my streaming pc through usb1 usb 2 only brings in audio,…..but if you want your mic to be used on your gaming pc you can simply add a 3.5 mm jack from one computer to the other and then do some routing with unify and then you can have your mic on both gaming and streaming pc

    Hi, 1. Thank you so much for putting all this research on the streamer X, ive been debating getting one and still feel unsure lol! I do have a question. How were you able to get 60fps in 4K? i thought the streamer X can only stream out in 4K 30fps? Ive seen some use the streamer X in 24Fps and shortly get told by them not to use 24fps as it produces alot of stutter on the frame rate and to just stick with 4K 30fps for the best experience. 😅 anways thank you so much for your reply 🙇‍♂️🙏

    • @G.E.T
      @G.E.T  ปีที่แล้ว

      @joseluisruiz3789 the device does only do 4k @ 30 max. That being said i have OBS set up as base canvas of 4k@60 along with premier pro set at a default sequence of 4k@60. The actual setting for my streamerx is custom, resolution set to 4k and the fps set to highest fps, video format nv12 then the rest of the properties are default

    Hey there! Thanks for the video. Super weird question, but is it possible to bring the HDMI capture into OBS on both PCs at the same time? If i were to plug a camera into the streamer x, and then on both PCs bring in the "Streamer X" video capture device on OBS, would that work? Thanks so much!

    • @G.E.T
      @G.E.T  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well that would be possible if the device was designed that way,…..on the streamer x only one usb acts as the return for the video capture. It’s the reason why you’re using the high bandwidth cable on the usb port 1. Im sure there would be a way but the device would probably have to be modified. Thanks for the comment, while 2 pc might not be a good solution for all or even most users,,,,,,but if you have a high ro mid to lower level gaming pc and you're wanting to stream a 2 pc setup could be ideal. The reason for this is you're offloading all unnecessary software and devices on to a seconday pc leaving your gaming or primary pc's gpu and cpu relatively open. This is epecially good for streaming because you're offloading the encoding and decoding of video to a secondary pc. Hope that kinda helps for the reason of a 2 pc setup

    Hm do I miss something? Dual PC has some challenges.
    1. you run only gaming PC with all software (discord, teamspeak , ingame chat))-> how to setup.
    2. running both PC, all software on streaming PC, gaming PC only game running, how to use then ingame chat? Atm you need 3.5mm cables for that problem.

So my general question is, can I realize this with the Rode Streamer X? If not, please let me know which workarounds are in your minds. Does the workarounds has less microphone quality?

    Hi! Sorry I'm late to the party, but is it possible to route your XLR mic as an input on your gaming pc (connected to secondary USB) for comms/discord, etc? I tried doing this with the headset mic connected to the Streamer X, but the microphone input on the gaming PC ended up being muffled and distorted (i can also hear my Stream PC audio in my gaming PC Headset Mic Input for whatever reason). I was wondering if you had better luck with an XLR microphone solution. Thanks for the video!

    • @G.E.T

      The usb is for input audio only unfortunately, you can if your using a 2 pc setup, use the secondary headphones or the monitor speaker output into your gaming pc and have discord set up to receive these as a microphone, obviously you would have to do some work with your routing table but yes that would work fine

    • @G.E.T
      @G.E.T  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually went over that in a previous video before this one,….but if you need help setting it up we have several people (along with me) in the discord that would be more than happy to help you get everything set up, to answer your cabling question if you have a 2 pc setup you will need usb1 to your gaming pc so you can bring in video to obs and usb 2 is only used to bring in audio, second question no the elgato wave does not work the only usb microphones that work at the moment are rode usb microphones, for the switching of hdmi ports i would recommended at 2,3, or 4 way hdmi splitter so you can just hit a button and change the hdmi signal

Do you know if the streamer x suffers from the same issue? I'm just looking for a simple setup where I can route my 1 xlr mic to both ps5 or PC depending on what I'm playing and also have both audio sources come into my headphones. Does the streamer x do this better than the duo for that simple setup? and have you heard if the audio distortion issue exists on the streamer x too for ps5? Thanks!

      Ok so i have this one also,……and the streamer x has a bit of a different setup,…..since it uses hdmi there is no distortion,….i would say the streamer x adds some functionality and then at the same time takes so away,…….like with the audio routing. Neither of these devices let you route an xlr mic into your ps5 unless you’re using the playstation remote play.,,,,the streamerx is though a better device for console gaming

      Let’s start with secondary audio this just brings in whatever is playing on secondary computer sooo all sounds for that pc(usually a streaming pc),……for the primary pc unify is set to mic to micrphone (mix minus) descord is set to chat with only the mic, chrome is set to browser, game to game or system your preference, all of these go into the monitoring output. Ok so this question had been asked of me alot so the easy answer is no splitting of audio that is coming in from hdmi/usb2 because they are from input on and are just receiving audio from the device (gaming pc) and it depends on what you’re trying to do after that! On the obs side i would say in a dual pc setup your mic and other things should be set up in obs as individual devices and then bring over your usb2/hdmi into obs as a 3 source,……that was there is no splitting of usb2/hdmi and if we are talking about giving audio to your gaming pc (mic wise) it would entail using another 3.5 mm or 1/4 inch cable

      @HotelXx13 ok 2 things one is your streamerx updated and 2 do you have it plugged just into your computer or actually have it plugged into a wall? Both can cause that issue there is also an issue with if you keep it plugged into your computer and dont unplug is (because there is no power button boooo) it will not let video come through
