I actually have one of the Crash Bandicoot plushies! I can't remember the exact year (I think possibly 2003) but it was available as part of a show bag for the Melbourne Show. I remember it was end of day, and it was the only show bag I wanted specifically for Crash Bandicoot, but it was like at the other end of the show, so I ran over and eventually got one.
Wow that's a great story! Are you saying that you have one of these prototype toys? Would you be willing to send some photos to me on Instagram? My handle is @bandicootcollector, link can be found in the video description too 😁
Thank you so much for the shout out, I’m so happy I was able to help you with this video. Additionally, I wish these were released as there was some great potential with this line - such as going from game 1 to 3 in terms of the different Crash’s they could have released to the villains. Had these been released, this could have been the greatest Crash line in the franchise’s history
Hello! Thank you very much, again! 🙏 I'd say ReSaurus has already cemented itself as the best Crash has ever had, but you're right - if these large plush toys were released they would have honestly been the greatest line for any video game character!
@@bandicootcollector you’re very welcome!! Yes, it would have put the Mario plush line - for example - as a huge massive collecting competitor! Hopefully Play by Play can keep giving us more fan favs and even niche characters.
I was thinking about NECA Coco and Cortex lately. I was pretty disappointed that they weren't released in the end, they looked great. I especially liked that little detail with Coco's flower, the color looked closer to the original design somehow
Well that solves that mystery I always wanted that big Coco Plush to add alongside my 2000s Crash Play by play plush I never knew she wasn't released or that Resaurus made her untill now like all nice things she will be impossible to find and too expensive to get a hold of no doubt I wonder if Play by Play or kellytoy in the 2000s made a Coco Plush? I already know Cortex exists alongside Crash and his many variants these old plushies look a lot better than what we have now I think better quality and design.
Wow!! I was so shocked to see this but omg I find it funny we both knew about this prototype through JenL! XD But this is such an amazing find and it's interesting that he has almost an action figure body on the inside!! :D fingers crossed you find any of the other prototypes someday!
I'm actually really bummed that I've missed out on getting crash Bandicoot toys. I dont know why I always miss out on these in my almost 30 years. Crash, Donkey Kong, TMNT those were my big three franchises and still I neve get stuff. Due to my location in Alaska it makes it almost impossible
@@bandicootcollector no its jsut like growing up. Their is no stores that hold that stuff. Walmart barely gets it here in Kenai. When I lived in Wasilla near Anchorage it was easier to get merch but the living fees were so much worse So I just like I snagged a single crash Bandicoot figure from neca. Back in 2019. But your video showed their was tons. And even tiny (my favorote) and I'm sure Brio and Papu (my second and third) have figures that I missed out on forever. And while it's just stuff. It's just plastic or metal. Its still cool. Like I value my skylanders more now then I did when I got them I was an idiot and after highshcool gave half of them away didnt even sell them I spent over 1000 dollars on skylander stuff but just gave 500 plus of it away. Why do we do thesethings? Anyways...almost 30 now and i just wish had maybe spent less money on crap I dont care about and more and say stuff like this. But that's life . Just hope I can get some someday. Or learn how to draw so I can draw my own fan art.
@@mudshrooze In regards to NECA, they only released 5 action figures. Standard Crash, Jet Board Crash, Scuba Crash, Jet pack Crash and the Deluxe figure with Aku Aku. As for Tiny, he's not a NECA figure. He's a figure from the main focus of this video, the ReSaurus company. Unfortunately they never made Brio or Papu Papu. However, if you go to Etsy you can get figures of them from VDVortex!
@@mudshrooze Oh, if you're talking about the 5 figures I showed at the start, they're all still available and were sold in large quantities! I thought you meant the resin prototype Cortex and Coco, those ones will be stored away in NECA I assume.

Thank you very much for subscribing! I'll definitely be making more like this!

Yeah, if only more characters had been created!
Congrats on scoring a prototype bro! 🎉
Thank you so much! It's been a long time dream, for sure!
@@bandicootcollectorI made my own custom dr cortex plush myself

It's sad they were never released... ;-;
Cortex is relatable you get it it’s so funny he lost like 1 trillion times against crash
I love this story so much! I'm happy to see you get something you've wanted since you were a kid

I'm so glad to meet someone else who was a big fan back in the day! Ha-ha! I hope to uncover more goodness!
THIS IS SO COOL
Thank you so much!
Hey, do a video on the Kellytoy, Play by Play and Toy Network plushes, there are BARELY any videos on them! I think they deserve some light.
I'm actually working on this video right now, the overall premise is "who did it better?"
Sweet! i can't wait!
I want more videos like this I like videos like this
Thank you! I'll definitely be doing more like this in the future to cover the other lost toys, and also the ones that were released!
Have you ever thought about getting the Kidrobot plushies Crash Bandicoot
Actually I do have them, and a review will be coming soon!😀
I hope there other crash bandicoot characters
Unfortunately not. This line was made in 1999, with the four characters ReSaurus had already chosen to be plushes, Komodo Moe, Cortex, Crash and Coco
8:24 what's the plush in between the big cortex and kamodo moe?
That's another prototype Komodo Moe in a different fabric.
Sad about brenden o briean it's possible he died from covid 19
He did also voice all these strange enemies you would encounter in each level he did provide the voice of the anyoning ripto roo
I want prototype coco bandicoot plysh
Yeah, it would be so cool to find out where she is, along with gladiator Tiny.

Are the neca crash toys and those tiny Tiger and Dingodile toys you showed still available somewhere?
I can only assume that the NECA toys are sealed in the vaults. And the ReSaurus Tiny and Dingodile prototypes? Who knows!
