- I tried to remake the known Bridge level - Road to Nowehere from the original Crash Bandicoot Game in Unity game engine and I wanted to spice the things a bit up and I made it even harder. I hope that you enjoyed the video and let me know what you think about the game so far. You can try this game as well and it's free to download. I would like to see how many tries it would take you to finish it.

Really impressive work! Tikki Aku is adorable and the low-poly aesthetic is cool! Crash's run cycle being reminiscent of Ed from Ed Edd & Eddy is a pretty majestic sight to behold lmao

Important detail for all 3D platformers you missed: Giving the character a shadow below them so you know where they'll land
I mean, you'll know when they land into abyss
The lack of a shadow is more authentic to the original crash game

On the video the level looks pretty easy but if you try to play it its a whole different story

Crash not having a shadow already makes this harder. Love it
Nice job man, it’s crazy how a subtle cue like a shadow under crash when he jumps would make this 10x easier… it’s something you take for granted in game, but notice when it’s not there!

I love that run cycle, it's how Crash should run during a chase scene
There is no way I would be able to have finished this level in the og game without the shadow. I am impressed by those well-placed jumps!
There is an old trick. Crash can walk on the ropes. And you can pass the whole lvl like this. Only for crashing the checkpoints, then get on the ropes again until the end. Happens even on Crash Bandicoot Remastered for PS4 😎

One thing I liked is that there is no shadow when crash jumps so it's hard to know where he will land

@@burnsy96 well the Shadow in certain platformer games disappear when you jump so unless you played the Crash bandicoot 4: Its About Time game, you'll note that the creators made a trick that when you jump a circle of where you are appears which makes it much easier to see where you might land (haven't played it personally myself as I've only seen other people play it)

This level isn't the hardest one in my opinion, the hardest one in the game is the one that has rain pouring while climbing up a building.
The art style is pretty nice, though. It would be a cool one for a Crash game

just a few days ago i spend almost 10 hours grinding the gold relic of the bridge levels. that sure is a trip to hell granted.

I spent 5 hours a few years ago to get the platinum relic on those levels. Was definitely hard to do, and using the ropes is required if you want that relic.
