I didn't think I would like this video After reading the title, knowing cats are carnivores. The cat looks happy, healthy and refuses to eat the fish and chicken offered but appears to enjoy the vegetarian food that it has been offered 😯
It's what it's used to since it was a kitten because they just fed it off their dishes. They feed her very spicy food also and has tears and they think it's cute. It's not good for her and a vegetarian diet lacks taurine which a cat NEEDS. She will eat what she's used to and seek approval, and will likely have health problems that go unnoticed because cats are good at hiding it until it's too late. There's no knowing if she doesn't already have vision problems or other underlying health problems. She does seem very lethargic, which may be partly her personality, but we don't know and I don't think her owners do either. It seems to me that they don't put a proper effort in and offer her weird seasoned meat in big chunks and then just say 'oh just just doesn't like it' because it gets her more attention by tourists at the temple.

If that is the case the cat can get plenty of taurine from the fish, but even if they dont eat fish you can get taurine from milk, eggs, and cheese. All very vegetarian and mink friends. (My cat loves a bit of cheese once in a blue moon, but no actual milk or it will upset her tummy. Eggs though. I have cooked plain eggs for her a lot when i was a teen and occasionally ran out of the resources to purchase a "balanced" can or dry food. Now im an adult, ive had a cat at every stage of my life, child, teen, and adult and ive learned more then a few things to ensure their safety (my garden is probably more harmful an all vegetarian diet, but i now grow my onions in a "floating container to keep her away from the dangerousness)

Cat's NEED taurine, which is only found in muscle meat. Unlike humans, they are NOT able to make it themselves. That's why humans don't need meat to survive, but cats 100% do. Never feed your cat a vegetarian/vegan diet. It's like depriving a human of vitamin C, which we can't make ourselves. We'll get scurvy and eventually die. Depriving a cat of taurine will result in the cat's certain death! Depriving cats of meat is considered animal abuse in some countries, and it is!

What town is it? As a Buddhist, I am certain that the cat was reincarnated as a cat. @@jacquelinej143 dont monks still eat fish, from what ive known some vegetarian are against eating fish but the majority of the ones i know personally have eaten sushi with me. If that is the case the cat can get plenty of taurine from the fish, but even if they dont eat fish you can get taurine from milk, eggs, and cheese. All very vegetarian and mink friends. (My cat loves a bit of cheese once in a blue moon, but no actual milk or it will upset her tummy. Eggs though. I have cooked plain eggs for her a lot when i was a teen and occasionally ran out of the resources to purchase a "balanced" can or dry food. Now im an adult, ive had a cat at every stage of my life, child, teen, and adult and ive learned more then a few things to ensure their safety (my garden is probably more harmful an all vegetarian diet, but i now grow my onions in a "floating container to keep her away from the dangerousness)

i used to practice a form of buddhism. i dont anymore, since my opinions have changed. in a nutshell, i believe a person should strive to be good without all the frill of spiritual practice. i think its not necessary and doesnt do anything other than try to apply a sense of magic in to a world that one may not feel has any without their practice.
i think its fake, its a show, its not real. its lying to yourself. i can be good without the lies, incense, and stories. without the subtext and books. i think shit like this is going too deep, leaning too hard in to that lie.
i respect buddhism even still. if someone uses it as a conduit to be a good person, whatever, thats fine. but its a bubble, an echo chamber, and this cat is an example of that spiritual thinking clouding reality, since its meant to REPLACE reality.
this cat is definitely going to have issues later on in its life. a shame they were conditioned in to these unhealthy dietary habits.
