This mom cat is a hero. Usually they leave the disabled ones behind, but she stayed by the little baby.
@Gi Gi this is actually pretty rare. I think there are mother cats that eats its newborn if she found some type of disability 🥺
Seems to be her only kitten as well. I wonder if she had a litter and the rest died off or she only ever had the one. If she had several I would think she would have been less inclined to keep this disabled one around.

She would probably eventually leave this one behind as well, but not for lack of love. She'd taking it out at night, so she wants to bring it with her, teach her how to hunt, how to navigate, but it can't follow her. She's EXTREMELY patient, but she can't live on the roof feeding the baby forever...eventually she would leave. She would possibly visit it, but it's unlikely she would stay forever. They need their kittens to become independent eventually.
The kitten was in such a pain yet his face was so calm , cause he knew he had an angel with him, that angel was his mom !
Don't forget the people who took care and saved his life.
A vet can become very expensive, very fast. Especially under these conditions.
I know, I have a cat who's back was crushed by a excavator, but the vet could save his left paw and now he thrives. He doesn't know any better. Just like his new name Mr. Tripod.

The baby wasnt in pain as it was paralyzed. It felt no pain when dr pinched it feet.
Uhhh... no. His face was so calm because cats don't have expressive facial muscles. They don't convey emotions through the face.

Although I know of a lot of people around me who have treated cats badly and even killed them, in general in my country, animals are treated well. I wish more people could be capable of respecting the lives of animals.

I live in Brazil and many animals need help here, but we do help, but many still need to learn to love animals. It’s the same thing in Korea. I rescued many, but prepared them for adopting in safe forever homes. I can’t afford it anymore, but help others who still rescue. That’s what makes a difference.
They both need to be adopted in the same home, they can't be separated! mother's love what kept him from dying, she's good mama cat!

Nah, it would be so unlikely that the mom cat became tame and even if she could it would take month's or even years to properly socialize a feral cat and they could've socialized hundreds of kittens by then, but it would be so sweet if she did become social

@@RogerSmithTheFourth Actually, you don't know for a fact that the mother cat is feral. She might just be an abandoned stray cat. At any rate, even feral cats can be tamed with time and the right home.

oh yes, they have. I have 13 cats and 2 dogs. you know when I go to neighbor houses a few blocks away some of my cats are following me and waiting for me at the neighbor's roof. some are waiting for me at my gate I had a female cat who raised one of the abandoned kitten like her child.

I’m a first time cat owner (I always owned dogs) and I was also surprised how loving cats are. I always thought of cats as aloof and distant. But my cat greets me every time I come home and loves to be in the same room as me. They are very sensitive to strong negative emotions and will try to soothe you if you are mad or sad.
They truly do..years ago I had a mom cat that had her kittens on my bed..one didnt make it..and for hours..she licked him and tried to get him to move.. it was so sad.. they do grieve just like humans.. we finally were able to get the kitten away..but she did meow for a while that day..but she had her other kittens..

When I become a millionaire, this is going to be my pact, to create safe space for abandon cats/dogs/animal shelter wherever I can create one. It's sad that people who have the money in this world are just after making themselves more powerful. I wish they could give back to this poor souls. I am sure there would be a lot of volunteers who would help care/play once the spaces/shelters are put in place.

i love how determined the mother was, raising a disabled child is not always easy but she pushed through and ensured the best possible life for him even if he's not able to walk with his hind legs anymore. i hope that they have found a long term home to stay in and are living healthily and happily

I'm sitting here crying like a big ol' baby right now. This kitten is old enough to be on its own, yet the mother still cares for her baby. I'm such a mushy gushy hearted man when it comes to animals like this, it's just amazing to me. I'm not even a cat person, but this touches my heart and soul.

Same here. This history of love really touch my soul. I love cats 🐈 a lot. I have 16 and 4 dogs. My babies and I’ll be there for them no matter what. I’m having a hard time this 2020 with no work and 3 surgeries in a month in a half (peritonitis and other organs they leave me open inside and make me go back very infected to the hospital and almost died) but I've had many angels who have helped me all this time. We are safe and happy at home now and I’m happy to see historíes like this. My heart ❤️ thank you for all this people help this baby and his beautiful mother 🐾 thanks god 🙏 we need more humans with this hurts and love 💕

The type of mother many of you are referring to in response to my comment is simply unimaginable and very unfortunate! You are absolutely right! Though in general Mothers are the symbol of love and kindness, at the same time, unfortunately, around us there are Mothers who are so selfish that they leave their child behind just to fulfill their own selfish desires, happiness, and greed. In my society it is rare but I know there are many careless mothers like that in the world; I feel very sorry for their child, that’s all I can say! Thanks for your response anyway!
Such a devoted mum and the tiny kitten was so happy to have her back by his side. So grateful they got help !!
Please follow up. It seems the kitten was recovering and generally healthy, despite his disability. There are many animals who get by with only two legs using a cart. I pray the little brave kitten and his heroic mom were adopted. I'm crying my heart out.

Breaks my heart knowing the kitten suffered until he had no feeling in his back legs.💔💔😪😪 A mothers love can be a unique bond which obviously this mom had towards her kitten. @LP86 video editor some animal moms kill there babies as well. And some cats do it. So people have to take new borns from their moms so they wouldn't kill the babies. People in this way are the same as animals some are loving mothers and some have some problems with instincts I guess.

i take care of several street cats in portugal in june a kitty got sick and end up losing both eyes....she is the happiest of them all and honestly i dont think she misses it, also i think losing her eyes was the best thing that could have happen to her (would have been better if she was adopted), since she is blind she cant jump the fence around my house like the others do, so she is in no danger of getting hit by a car or encounter some dog or some "people". Same with this cat maybe it was a blessing in disguise
(Sometimes they can do therapy on a cat and help him regain his legs)

I never thought we will be having a doggie but because of the circumstances such as dog's health and some money problems that family who look after the puppies have etc. made us make this decision and we ended up adopting this adorable doggie
If you want to see her growing up and while having fun with us I want to earn some money to give food to homeless dogs and share it in social media so we can let people judge the situation with their own eyes. The situation which made me open this platform. Believe it or not like people there are some dogs who were fated to born to be poor and who were fated to born to be lucky. It might be unfair but that's the reality.

Yes but what makes this cat special is that in nature parents who give birth to weak off spring (or if they become disabled) they will abandon them in favour of reproducing again to produce healthy offspring, this may seem cruel to us but it is the only way most animals can survive. so this is very, very special.

@@cherryfernandez584 Just thinking that i have watched a couple of videos with kittens who are blind and it is believed that the mothers have abandoned them, sad but life is tough for feral cats.
This is an incredible story, we always expect animals have no choice, that instinct would tell her to abandon her injured kitten to give her the chance to have more healthy ones and this just hasn't happened here, hope they put up more videos on these 2 felines.

Éste vídeo nos muestra a una madre luchando por su hijo tremendamente mal herido y qué debía sentir un dolor espantoso ,sin la ayuda de los vecinos y la urgencia de tener qué ir al veterinario para una intervención y lograr estabilizar al cachorro ,todo el esfuerzo monumental qué hizo su increíble madre ,hubiera acabado muy mal.

У краснокнижного белого мишки Диксона (в Московский зоопарк привезли с Диксона) тоже задние ножки не ходят, позвоночник повредили пулями нелюди. Не знаете - почему он ходить не мог - травма или что? Может, доктора неграмотные? И почему его маму-кошку опять на улицу выбросили?

И котёночка жаль и мамочку преданную тоже
About 5 months ago, my husband and I started fostering a Mama cat and her 5-day-old solo kitten. It has been an inspiring experience. The Mama cat, a young cat herself, is extremely maternal. We adopted both cats and are happy we were able to keep them together. Their bond with each other is remarkable. Although they still are protective Mama and somewhat dependent baby, they also are so close in age that they play together like siblings. We continue to be amazed by our delightful duo. The mother/child bond shown in this video is so much like our cats' mother/child bond.
Cats are funny. They're so individual. I have a cat who adopted us when she was still quite young but has a lot of feral still in her. She had kittens and was pretty good with them but when SHE was done feeding them she would just get up and walk away while a couple of the babies were still latched to her. Poor babies would become so confused, lol. A few times we would have to put her in the box to feed them but usually she was really good about it, she just could not handle laying down with them very long & would abruptly take off. Good mama in function but not so much in affection.

I'm pretty sure there are many humans who take care of their disabled kids. Animals are usually less likely to accept a defective child.
@@stupaod I think you're right. I've seen so many videos where different species of animals outright reject a defective baby. If many humans do it, it's not publicized.
После очередного такого видео об огромной преданности и любви животных к своему ребенке\маме, мне все еще непонятно как некоторые люди говорят "да это просто животное, оно ничего не понимает". Они-то как раз понимают и чувствуют. И даже поболее многих людей.

This mother's love is absolutely unconditional. Mom and baby are beautiful. Watching Mom tend to her little one is extremely sweet. Thank you for finding these cats and helping them . I’ve seen that lady before, always related to rescues. They would not give the baby back to the mother at the end of the video if it weren’t because they will keep trying to help both. It would not be logic to give her baby back to her to then take it away again and forever..... No, I think that they will help them even if the baby is handicapped for the rest of its life. I will see if I could get an update. But baby it’s beautiful, eats well and looks healthy.

What did you mean? This mother cat had more than one kitten in her litter. Her other kittens were either abandoned by her or killed by cars. She remained with this disabled kitten because she felt bad for him.

Not necessarily true. I've seen documentaries where Moms had to leave sick babies behind, so that her other ones would have a better chance of survival. The camera could show the heartbreak in Mom, but she did what she had to do. So don't say that only a real Mom would do what this kitty did. That's disrespecting those who HAD to leave babies behind.

My heart is breaking after watching this video. Cats living outside do not have a good life at all. They get hurt and are starving. Please if you see any homeless cats or kittens please try to help them. Give them food water try to rescue them and find forever homes. I have four cats in my home currently I wish I could help more. Indeed heartbreaking. We do in our city, we ask per member 1 Euro per month or you can give more. That money goes to our stray cats living in colonies for food an vet. care. Myself I got 7 cats too. All stray cats. One family I found, the mother and her 3 babies they were one day old when I found them. Still all with me together. The others I found also here and there. And very similar how this family is sticking together. One male never leaves his mom, even after all those years. A pity there are so many cruel, selfish people which don't care. Also I am vegan.
