    The reason they tell you to put the hole 1 cm above is just because the layout they provide does not account for the fact that the mirror will slide down once on the mirror catchers. Bad design of the layout: all they had to do was to move those markings accordingly,, but i guess they were already printed! For an easier solution, just put the layout 1 cm above the intended height of the mirror and drill in that hole..

    Thanks a lot!! question: I wanna buy many of these and install them next to each other for a dance studio. do you think I can change the two hooks on the side and put them up so they hold the mirror like the ones on the bottom !?

  • @miriam9352

    Thank you so much. I have a question: do you have to do the other hole only in the bottom of the mirror or either on the top?

    • @Jaybeccaofficial
      @Jaybeccaofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the mirror is vertical, you have to do two holes on the top and two on the bottom. There’s a cardboard guide that comes with the mirror that will help. I don’t remember specifically where the holes go for horizontal but the directions would say

    Wow this is so useful - thank you! Would you mind linking to the nail/cap/hook combo?

    • @Jaybeccaofficial
      @Jaybeccaofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re welcome! The cap and hook came with the mirror. I don’t have a link for the nails bc we found nails that were laying around in the toolbox 😕 I think any nail that is 2.5 inches or longer would work for this

    I was wondering if it was possible to use command strips or hooks etc to hang this mirror up? Only because I’m a student and can’t use nails!

    • @Jaybeccaofficial
      @Jaybeccaofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Command strips will definitely get the job done. This mirror is very light. Just make sure you get the right ones bc some of them can only hold a certain amount of pounds. I’d recommend ones that can hold 15lbs or more.

  • @jubedamaruf2313

    I bought this mirror but want to screw it onto my wardrobe sliding doors instead but not too sure if it will hold but they are quite thick doors. Any advice?

    • @Jaybeccaofficial
      @Jaybeccaofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mirror is pretty light. I’m pretty sure your wardrobe can handle it. You might be able to install it the same way we did in the video too. If not I’d recommend some strong command strips

  • @Karelmeester
    @Karelmeester 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question; is it best to use plugs in a regular wall or should only screws do?

    • @Jaybeccaofficial
      @Jaybeccaofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The mirror is pretty light. I think screws alone would be fine

    • @rryyaann321
      @rryyaann321 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your screw is going into a 2x4 on the other side of the drywall then you don’t need plugs. Plugs are more for when you want to hang something where your screw won’t catch a “stud” (2x4).
