hi @corbettmaths, wondering if you could help me. i had a stats paper which had a Venn diagram question with | symbol. No idea what it means?? Thank you in advance. I really like the 5 a day questions btw
Wouldn't the answer at 3:39 be 22 because it's asking about students who don't like tea or coffee? It would only be two if it was asking for students who don't like tea and coffee, but or implies they can still like one but not the other
It is 2 as only 2 people don't like tea or coffee. 22 would be the number of people who don't like tea and coffee. In terms of notation. When asked if some doesn't like tea or coffee, that's different from asking how many people don't like tea or don't like coffee. It's a subtle difference in wording but it's means something different. One is (AuB)' (which is what I asked for... who doesn't like tea or coffee) and the other, which you thought it was is A'uB' (which is who doesn't like tea or doesn't like coffee). I hope that makes sense
You got me from 34% to 98% in my maths in 2 months👏👏👏👏
Good job!
The way you explain in 5 minutes what takes my teacher an hour to try and explain
