Yes you don't need the set notation at AS level.

The last 3 I don't understand tbh.
A' U B' means not a and not b = 7/40. Because A U B = 33/40.
A U B' means everything in A not B = 20/40 because A U B is 33/40 so if we minus B we minus 13 from 33. We don't include the 7.
Can anyone shed light on this please. Thanks.

It is the union. The union of not a and not b includes everything that is not a and everything that is not b. The union of a and not b includes everything that is a and everything that is not b.
