I was on the wall with Argenti for a while and was sure that he’d be a skip for me but I fell for his wonky character and decided to pull for him. At E0S1 he hits for around 500-700k with his ult. I regret nothing.
lissen LET ME COOK: What seperates ruan mei to others is her buffs duration is stuck on HER TURN not on ur allies turn. For those who dnt know action advances turns like jingliu and e2 danIL is not an EXTRA TURN like seeles passive, its a 2nd turn that advances u forward to the top. Which means ruan mei buffs is always up no matter spd ur teams has /no spd tuning since the buffs are stuck on her turn. unlike tinyun if u use jingliu skill to proc her transcend state (which gives her advance forward for another turn) you will be spending 2turns since the proc is not considered an extra turn, which means 2turns of tingyuns buff is already gone since the buff is stuck on jingliu not on herself.
Pulled for sw cuz ruan mei's rerun is most likely coming sooner than sw's second one. But well I regret it, so I do recommend to just pull for the characters you like, not the characters you need. Hoping Fu xuan won't get a rerun too soon, at least give me a chance to save up :(
I am actually worried that alot of people are going get baited by first limited harmony. Ruan Mei is great for break and DoT teams. Any other team should go for Sparkle especially hypercarry. Mono quantum, QQ and Dan IL

I genuinely don’t know if I should pull for silverwolf or not. I started during jungliu banner and only have her and welt. I went for huo huo but lost 50/50. Im f2p. Ruan mei seems like a much better option cause my only other healer is lynx. I’m not using Natasha in my jingliu team so I don’t have mono quantum.

If you have Pela, she is better for Jingliu. Hence the reason I skipped her also. I'm going for Argenti because I have e6 Tingyun and HuoHuo for him. I really don't need Ruan Mei because I already have cracked Buffer/Debuffer units. If you need another buffer/debuffer unit, Ruan Mei is better than Silver Wolf. You can run her with Jingliu and Pela for Mono Ice comp with a healer like Lynx.
Im do love characters in armor or in a battle suit so Argenti is very tempting when compared to Ruan Mei, but I like Mechs more so getting Svarog (Clara) eventually is more attractive. Still the game only gives me Welt copies (hes at E2) which I dont mind. I also have considered skipping Ruan Mei because I have more than enough buffer/debuffers but not much coverage in the DPS side.
My issue with Ruan mei is where will I fit her into my current teams? My Dan team now has hanya which has been invaluable with my tingyun. My other main team is blade bronya fu xuan and lynx. Maybe fu xuan I can swap with luocha now that I have hanya and then Ruan mei can chill with bronya blade luocha……but I feel like I’m in a weird spot xD . I feel like If I had Jing Liu to go with my blade Ruan mei would be a no brainer upgrade to their team since she buffs the team. Kinda at a point I just get her to have her for when I got someone to run with my blade or for future dps units I might get. Right now bronya has been attached to my blade since she is speed tuned for him and he is not skill point inefficient. Not to mention he gets a lot of help being the hyper carry with her 😂. Auto this moc i only used 3 turns
I feel like having Lynx and Fu Xuan on the same team is a bit of a wasted slot on that team tbh, I'd remove lynx if I were you RM is good for Blade since she buffs dmg instead of atk, unlike almost every other buffer we have, something Blade can appreciate You could always wait until she's released and borrow RM from a friend and try her with Blade if you are unsure, that's usually what I do

Dan has been stealing luocha for his skill point positivity and fu xuan I’m mainly using for her buffs to hp c damage and c rate on blade team and she doesn’t fully cover blade and his hp loss on his own. I have tested many different variations and have never come close to death and auto still clears moc 10 in 3 cycles total with these comps. Dan is just greedy with those skillpoints but usually my Dan comp clears 0 cycles on auto and at most 1. Blade takes 2-3 cycles in moc 10 on auto.
Im pulling Ruan Mei because I have a built Himeko and Topaz. My dream team at the moment is Xueyi, Ruan Mei, Himeko and Topaz. This team structure is a weakness break, follow-up attack team

SW is good for flex team and make your life easier. but tbh i don't really use her anymore because i start playing since day 1 and have every single limited 5-star DPS already. (exept Argenti because Ruanmei and her LC just too broken to pass lol)

Luocha and a dps of your choice in my opinion. A good healer/shielder makes a big difference. Bronya and Pela are really great so you're good on that front for now since you're new

Luocha is extremely good but there's no need to waste your jades with a 5 star healer\shielder so early on. Focus on getting a strong\decent DPS for now, after all, what's the point of a having a good healer\buffer without a good DPS? You can simply use Natasha\Lynx in the meantime. No need to pull for the upcoming buffers, debuffers, healers, shielders for now, they'll get reruns anyway. Honestly, for a DPS, it all depends if you like their design, animations and playstyle. I have Argenti and he's amazing, mine is dealing 90k in each enemy. Really good if you don't like dealing with enemies one by one, and just wanna get rid of them at once. Also, he's beautiful. We still have to see how Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio will play out, all we know is that Ruan Mei is a good Support and Dr. Ratio will be a Imaginary DPS of the Hunt. So, Honestly, I guess you should go for the DPS you like the most, you like Argenti? Pull for him, he's good. You like the Doctor that attacks enemies with a book? Save for him, as a Hunt character, he'll probably be at least decent. Just follow your heart, but if you only care about meta, go check the Chinese Tier List.

Ruan mei is not versatile at all.... BUT if you have her best companion (Jingliu, SW, Blade, Argenti) then she's probably the best support in the whole game over Bronya and Tingyun.
she is extremely versatile you can put her into any team and you are forgetting she is bis with kafka and all dot teams because they usually have 2 dps.

After ruan meis buff, shes no longer limited to only being good for DoT and Break teams, shes just overall a great buffer for most dps in the game

Already had gear for her, she will have 181% BE including traces. No ERR rope but I will use S5 Memories of the Past (8 Energy per atk and 56% BE).

Ruan mei is not versatile at all.... BUT if you have her best companion (Jingliu, SW, Blade, Argenti) then she's probably the best support in the whole game over Bronya and Tingyun.
she is extremely versatile you can put her into any team and you are forgetting she is bis with kafka and all dot teams because they usually have 2 dps.
Pretty sure she's the best all rounder buffer in the game

I mean you can put her in any team, but you can also put Herta in any team.... She's only worth pulling if you have 2 or more of her best teams options, if not then she's just gonna be a very expensive Asta in your account.

According to what I've seen, she should be built as slow as possible, and her hypercarries must have a high speed in order to abuse her buffs.
Slow ruan mei means "longer" duration of buffs but also more downtime. Unless you're zero cycling, it's gonna hurt more than it helps.
Ruan mei is a great character but there are plenty of supports in the game right now and the way honkai has been going Im sure that 2.0 characters are going to be just as good as 1.6 characters so I'll skip Ruan mei and go for Xueyi
