For some reason, when I try this mod, the moment I dare to even sprint for half a block, the bastard spawns on me, then proceeds to scream in my ear for about a minute.
What’s worse, is that for some reason, when it starts chasing me with the countdown and everything, the whole chase sequence repeats itself over and over until I find a spot that is safe and crouch in there for a whole minute, while whatever entity found me is trying to rip me apart.

I think it's cause the entity thing may be nearby.
You've gotta use sound to the most you can- If there's no mobs nearby and you hear something, don't run.
I haven't played- So this information may not be true, but considering this mods design philosophy- It should make sense.

yeah, this is literally just "no players online" into minecraft but instead of titling it as such they basically took the creature from it and gave it a new name.
You should play the Beta 2 version that I recently released. It has many changes compared to this one. Thanks for playing it :D.

I enjoy watching these videos but these mods are kinda boring, not even 5 min into the video and he jumpscared you twice already, it would be better if the entity would stalk you for the first couple days, and eventually becoming more and more aggresive

After seeing a few seconds of this video, I bought it and tried it on my own survival world and let me tell you it is freaky as fuck. What is amazing about this is that the scares rarely happen, so it really gets you. Like, every ten minutes or so that you play a random screamer just flashes on the screen and gets you like crazy. The freakiest thing that happened was right as I finished the first floor to my base the creature just spawned outside and just watched me, it was so unsettling. I had to get off and take a break my hands were shaking like crazy, never had something get me like this in a while lmaoooo. Such a good mod.

Same happened to me but when i played sr parasites in hardcore. I was just hiding in moutains while i heard them walking around. Every time I found a cave, I got a mini-heart attack because the big parasites can break blocks, and so i never got a chance to mine. Even tough I had guns (i got a gun mod), I felt so unsafe and paranoic. God it was awful. 10/10 would try it again

I can relate to the jumpscare value being lost- Multiple times in Fear Nightfall, towards the beginning when I heard a cave dweller in my strip mine I was like, "I NEED TO GET OUT AAAAAAH" but later on I was like "Oh great, its a cave dweller."

Your ores are most likely not flowing because they might be in the wrong folder! Make sure they are under resource packs, since they just add emmisive layers and are not a new entity or block! They should not be under shaders either!

the random png jumpscares are random need to get that changed do them when the monster is right up to your ass and actively killing you.
maybe make the png completely invisible then it slowly starts to change its opacity the longer you stare at the entity.
