We have a 2001 LT and are the original owners. The old girl now is up to 279K and still going strong. It's been a great vehicle. We did some new Katzkin leather seat covers on the two front seats which really has made a difference. Other than some minor paint issues, she still looks pretty good.
I have a Z71 Suburban of this generation. I've got it cammed, put headers on it, cold air intake, dyno tuned with 340 whp. Super comfortable, pretty quick for its size, just an absolute joy to drive.
I got a 2004 chevy tahoe, with 281,000 miles on it. I feel like these trucks should get a better rep for reliability, they are one of the most reliable trucks/cars you can buy. back when chevy built stuff to last.
I had a 2003 Suburban LT and I wish I still had it today. The BEST VEHICLE I’ve ever owned!!!!!! I’m looking for another one today!!!!!! Thanks for the GREAT video! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇫🇮
The GMT800 has my heart. It’s funny you mention the rear door squeak. Every single one of them does it. It’s actually the door rubbing against the weather-stripping up top as it opens and closes.
I have a 03 Tahoe LT, 220,000 miles. Bose stereo , still rides so smooth. Someone tried to steal her two times! 😡 I’m so grateful they did not succeed. She’s now parked in the back and placed a Lok-Itt steering column device on it. She’s my horsey😊
Same thing happened to me (04 Tahoe LT 219,000 miles). The 2nd attempt (Sep 2021 at LA Fitness) of it being stolen would've been successful if I didn't have a kill switch installed. Ignition was turned over and radio was on, but the kill switch prevented the fuel pump from sending fuel to the engine so it died within a second or two of being started. And I almost walked away from my car that time forgetting to flip the kill switch! For $20 in supplies, you can do the same. The crazy thing is I had only completed the kill switch project 6 months prior to this incident since the pandemic gave me some extra time on my hands. Along with a kill switch, add jimmy jammers to the door locks, and add an Apple AirTag and Samsung SmartTag (for redundancy) to track it in the event it somehow is stolen. Make it as difficult as possible.
Yes! The first time I owned one of these I bought it with 350k miles, original engine and transmission. I loved it so much between my brother and I we bought 2 more GMT800s with 200k+ another 5.3 and one 6.0 . I had a 2002 LT with a sunroof
The GMT800 is my all time favorite truck and one of my favorite vehicles altogether. In high school my family owned a used car dealership and any time we got a GMT800 I was like a child on Christmas morning! I freakin loved driving these around. They just feel right. Thanks for the quality content!
What a pleasant, concise review of the the best SUV ever made! I am the original owner of a 2001 GMT 800 Suburban 2500 LT. It has 120k miles on it. I purchased it new as a gift for my wife. She stopped driving it 10 years ago (gas was too much for her commute). She says it was the best most comfortable car she’s ever had. She bought a Honda crv and we parked it and registered it “non-op” fir several years. I am so glad i didnt give in to her wanting me to sell it… I am now converting it into an “overland” aka camping rig. It truly is a great vehicle. They really dont make’em like this anymore… 6.0 LS, 4x4 G80 locker, 4l80e, sunroof (in 2001!) tow package.
I have two 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500hd with the 8.1 vortec and a 2006 tahoe , lastly a 2001 Silverado 1500 Z71. Will keep them until I die. Best reliable vehicles I have ever owned, period. I'm a senior citizen so I've had dozens of vehicles over the years and these are my favorite!!
You did a nice job here. I've got the 2001 Yukon SLT 5.3 version of this. My late father bought it new in 2000 and it's only got 82,000 miles thus far. One of my spare vehicles, but it's in pristine condition, and I'm very lucky and thankful to have inherited it.🎉
I have a 2001 Tahoe LT, 254000 miles and going strong. Keep the oil changed and normal maintenance done and keep driving. Im 62 and have owned this Tahoe for 10 years and never regretted it.
Love this generation. Ive owned a GMT400 Z71 for a decade and grew up with square bodies. Found my 05 Suburban Z71 4x4 and its a beast. Also found an 07 Yukon 4x4 (no AFM) and its a monster. Had a guy try to buy my OBS and he was in a new Silverado, he told me the 2020 he traded in at 100K, it’s transmission already started to slip. After the bailout GM cut cost in quality and charged more for the product. Now the Government vehicles GM specializes in are monsters. Notice there’s still a GMT800 in the President’s motorcade? I’d pull up to a current GM event blaring Bob Seger “Like a Rock”, will be a conversation starter 😂 Keep up the hard work.
I saw a video of Mark Zuckerberg getting into a GMT800 the other day. Dude is a multi-billionare and his limo is a GMT800. I'm sure it's bulletproofed to the max.
The picture of the Escalade you showed is actually a second generation. That was when Cadillac introduced the "Art and Science" design language with the CTS and Escalade in 2003. The first generation Escalade looked like the Tahoe/Yukon without the chrome strip running across the grille.
I have an 02 suburban with 205K miles that I love and have had for years and an 05 Yukon xl and I love to death and 06 Escalade ESV platinum that is unmatched with the heated and cooled cup holders soooo yeah I’m a gmt800 fan I’m truly obsessed
This is peak GM quality and reliability. I bought an 04 Z71 Suburban a few years ago and it's been great. Only things I wish my vehicle had was the electric cooling fans rather than the clutch fan and the second row heated captains chairs from the Denali. I believe I would rather purchase clean used GMT800s rather than any new vehicles. My wife likes the Avalanche but I'm thinking she'll enjoy a Denali with the AWD 6 liter matched with some studded tires for the winter months. I also think a 2500 with the 8.1 and quadrasteer would be necessary but that will take some more convincing for the wife to get on board.
I have a 03 LT suburban with 313000ish miles on it. Starts up every time and is very comfortable to drive. My grandkids love. We deck it out for Christmas with lights and go Christmas lights touring. It's staying in the family ❤️
The passenger side, 2nd row seat slides forward for 3rd row access. There is a lever at the rear back corner of the 2nd row, pass side seat; push it down and the seat will slide forward. It's kind of hidden.
Glad to know. I see the cables on the new to me '04, Z71, Burb. and been trying to figure it out. I don't see anything in the owners manual and tried moving seat using screw drivers to pry latch release. Just went to look and I think the lever you're talking about is missing. It doesn't matter much as I don't need 3rd row and anyone can go between the bucket seats to get to 3rd row. Thanks for input.
Hey man. I just wanted to say that this is my first time watching any of your videos and it was a joy to watch. Your analysis of this vehicle was very thorough and informative. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed!
I still drive my 2005 Chevy Tahoe with a little over 310,000 miles and still going strong. People can't believe the condition it's in when she gets shined up with the miles it has. I still drive it on 2 to 300 mile trips and pull a trailer now and then. That 5.3l and 4l60e have never given up on me. I'm a proud owner of this baby. 👍 Like a rock!
After watching this and old Motorweek video about these, I just realized these Tahoes are really just an old 2 door Tahoe with an extra door. I used to think of it more like a short suburban, but then I found out these Tahoes are shorter than my 2001 Silverado reg cab. It makes these great because you get a second row and trunk and can still fit in most home garages.
Bern, I've got to say, you've chosen a great theme song. I found your videos because I'm researching '00s Tacoma, Landcruiser, LX470, 4Runners. Although I think a gen 1 Tundra might be the vehicle for me. Fits a family, a small garage, tows a camper. (It might be the next great untapped Toyota resource.) I'd love to see your take on an '05/06 double cab Tundra. Although I sat in an '01 LX470 the other day and it will be hard to say goodbye to those seats...
We have a 2002 LT - have had 10 years - bought from our daughter who purchased it new. Approximately 168,000 miles. Runs perfectly with timely preventive care. Our Tahoe does have a Moonroof as per your question. Enjoyed your comments and review. Thank You!
Have an 03 Suburban LT 5.3 with 77,000 original miles. Has a 6” lift, reprogrammed computer, 18” Trail Boss Wheels and LT285x16xR18 tires. Love this truck, looks good, drive’s superb, and gets up and goes.
Very nicely done! Thanks..we own a 2003 tahoe 220k & a 2003 2500hd 185k, since new. Best cars for the money. A/c will freeze you out, my 2500 has never been recharged, brakes are 70% and original, towed plenty. Had to replace t.p.s. @ 150 and instrument cluster. My wives tahoe can haul double my 09 cayenne turbo...amazing cars 00 - 06 chevy/gmc, best used car in my book & safe for family and kids as well, worth every penny and then some👍👍
The wife and I both have suburbans, hers is 2002 lt with117k. Mine is a 2017 with 133k. Love them both. They both get 17 to 20 mpg. Very reliable and can tow anything we want. We recommend them to everyone. Blessings y'all
Great review and coverage, I’m jumping out of a newer lease soon and have been looking at all of these on the GMT800 platform , including 2nd gen Escalades! I have noticed the caveat on many particularly half tons, with the trans failures which as you said I attribute to just some neglect, I’ve always recommended also adding upgraded Trans coolers. But love these trucks for their drivetrain, even the ol rare 8100 vortec v8 which I’m not against owning as well! Thanx for the review and tips , and your personal history with those wonderful vehicles!!👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽🔥🔥
I got a 04 Tahoe with 84k a few years ago, creampuff, but had some small problems due to NY Winters with brake lines, but i fixed it, its down south now, no more rust problems, Family is off in it today, 3 hours away, with about 104k on it now. Paid 4500for it,joyously. Looking forward to many more years with it.
Yes I have a 2000,4.8. I do my own mechanic work, I will not take it to the shop no way. I'm having a couple issues with my heat not going from defrost to the vents. But it was stolen three times, once before I got it. That's how I ended up with it. The owners didn't want it so the tow company sold it to me. I hot wired it after the second time and still have it today. There's 292,000 miles on it now and still strong. I'm pulling a trailer every day with snow blowers and so forth, I am from Colorado so it gets a work out. Thank you for the video I appreciate it.🐐
I'm a huge GMT800 fanboy! I used to have a completely bone stock 2003 Tahoe LS 4WD and I currently have a highly modified 2002 Tahoe LT 2WD and I plan on adding a Suburban Z71 and a Tahoe, as well as a round eye Silverado, cateye Silverado, and a sierra to the collection within the next couple years to have essentially the whole GMT800 line up
Now that is funny and awesome.... A MotorWeek John Davis reference thrown in the mix. One would have to be a real car person to get that reference.... LOVE IT!!!!!
@@BernonCars there both very good avalanche lets you have a truck back that looks sporty so i just picked it and one of the beat veichles ever made hope it makes a return one day?
I have a 2000 Tahoe LT 4WD w/ around 228k miles. It has a power roof and the squeaky rear door on the driver’s side and the leather seats are so comfortable. It’s in great condition.
This car is a childhood banger for me. We had an 04 Yukon we got new. Then I sold my parents my LX570 and we had to sell it but luckily it went to my neighbor next door. I sold my LX to buy an AMG but do a lot of outdoor activities so I needed a bigger vehicle. Our Yukon was a base SLE 2wd so it wasnt really going to work out for me. So i spent 6 months hunting down a decent 05-06 Suburban Z71 in 4wd (they made 2wd Suburban z71’s in 05-06) and it has been a great car. Terrible gas mileage and its slow but its fantastic off roader to my surprise. I did indeed throw in a double din carplay radio and even wired a backup camera. It was a must. Mine, as far as i can tell has every option so i am really loving it
We purchased an 04 GMC Yukon Denali in 10/19 after doing A LOT of research and gaving the GMT800 recommended by a mechanic friend. At first I was hesitant buying a 15 year old vehicle. But it's quickly become one of our favorite vehicles ever! Reliable and easy to work on. As you mention, the seats are VERY comfortable. Its like driving a comfy couch. Yes, it gets AWEFUL MPG. Wehabe the 6.0L in our's. 15ish mpg on the highway. I prefer to think about it as Smiles Per Gallon. I'm looking for a low mileage, crew cab Silverado or Sierra GMT800. These are solid, reliable, low tech vehicles. Rust is what generally kills these.
I have a 2004 GMC Yukon XL SLT 5.3. It has been without a doubt one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. I bought it May of this year, and have put 60,000km on it since I got it with minimal maintenance needed. It floats down the highway and gets me 17mpg. I'd recommend these GMT 800's to anyone looking for a solid reliable daily driver or family hauler.
Great video! I Have a 2003 Tahoe LS that spent most of its life as a Sheriff’s vehicle (blue lights still in the grill). 205K miles and only real issue is very slow RMS leak. Last generation before the dreaded AFM system.
I currently own 3 GM vehicles from this generation: A 2005 Suburban 2500HD (8.1), a 2002 Silverado 1500, and - the crown jewel - a 2004 Hummer H2 Luxury package. I bought the Suburban with 110k miles (it currently has 210k), the Silverado with 137k (it currently has 179k), and the Hummer with 53k (it currently has 79k). I daily drive all three, and have done many long-distance road trips and family outings in both the Suburban and the Hummer. I occasionally tow with all three (nothing very heavy), and have done a fair amount of light off-roading with the Suburban and the Hummer. I used to have a 2003 Suburban 1500. I gave it to my daughter with 275k miles on it. It currently has 320k miles, and she is still driving it. These four vehicles have proven to be the toughest, and most reliable vehicles I have ever owned by FAR, in my total 35-ish years of vehicle ownership. In the case of the Suburban's specifically, also the most versatile and useful. GM really knocked it out of the park in the early 2000's.
got a 2005 with 190k got her for 3800 bucks! my family had an 06 when they were new, i always felt the comfort and reliability. flowmasters are the best 💪
Hi I have a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe that I bought brand new it has 186000 on it and I still drive it everyday. I have the LT package with the video screen on the ceiling. My tires are Goodyear wranglers. I have some minor work done on it but nothing major at this time. I have all the maintenance done on it when required. I live in Florida go scuba diving I have my equipment in the back. It runs great on the highway I have no problems putting my foot on gas, I run about 70 miles an hour to about 85 sometimes 90 still have great acceleration.
I have a 2002 GMC seirra single cab short bed SLE, shes a beauty and is still factory powered by a 4.8L v8, 155,000 miles and its a beast, no rust too :) GMT800 series all the way!!!
I have an 06 Yukon Denali. 280,000 miles. It's getting old but it's reliable and I have always loved the cushy leather seats. I still look forward to my 20 mile drive home from work in my Denali.
I have the 03 Z71 and that squeek on the rear door bothered me . But using silicone spay on rag to the molding around the door! Every couple of months I treat it and gets rid of the Squeek This truck is so much better than the new ones and I'll keep it forever! I'm not a fan of my sunroof though! Nice video! I paid $3500 for mine and have been offered over $10k but won't sell it!
I'm about to buy a 2000 Silverado 1500. Driving four hours tomorrow afternoon to take a look, but the listing looked really promising. Only 78k on the clock. I have a '96 C1500 so it will be a step up, though changing from the 5.7 to a 4.8 (though better power and torque from the 4.8 I believe). Great vehicles, and the 4.8 never got cylinder deactivation.
We have a suburban and a 2500 in the GMT 800 family and absolutely love them. I absolutely love being able to throw the whole family in my truck and pull 10,000 pounds and then jump in the suburban and go halfway across the country an absolute comfort. Hands-down, the easiest trucks to work on I’ve ever had and I don’t see us going back.
I love to hear GMT800 SUVs the Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade 5.3 V8 factory exhaust notes at idle. They sound like they have choppy cams in it. Honestly, those trucks aren't that slow. They move out pretty quickly for their size. Back in the day, you had to make sure you had the 5.3 instead of the 4.8 V8 by opening the hood and looking at the engine placard on the hood.
Original owner of a 97 Yukon w/170k miles- had to order back then and waited a year - Recently rebuilt front end for $3,000 and replaced front lower seats - I think I'm just getting her broke in 😅
Holy sh!t! I have a 2002 LT autoride Tahoe that has almost 400k and still driving like a bat out of hell and I still get compliments on how good it looks and how well I’ve maintained it! BUT! Mine also has that same squeak on the rear door when opening and closing! Have no idea why it does that? I can’t fix it??? But I’ll have this Tahoe forever!! And yes my 02 has the sunroof.
Have a 2003 Z71 for 5 years now 153k miles I put Escalade rear vent covers on and lowered front 1 inch rear 3 inches to level it a bit. Overall nice condition Strictly street driven Had a 96 before , At least this has decent brakes. Daily driver is 2006 BMW 5 series ( my 12th BMW from since 1975 )
We have a 2001 LT and are the original owners. The old girl now is up to 279K and still going strong. It's been a great vehicle. We did some new Katzkin leather seat covers on the two front seats which really has made a difference. Other than some minor paint issues, she still looks pretty good.
Nice, that’s great! Enjoy it!
Hey i just got a 2001 lt. Its in immaculate condition. It's really nice. It's there any problem you have noticed with yours?

The GMT800 has my heart.
It’s funny you mention the rear door squeak. Every single one of them does it. It’s actually the door rubbing against the weather-stripping up top as it opens and closes.
That’s funny! Makes sense haha
You are correct. Spray a little WD-40 "Dry Lubricant" onto a paper towel and wipe down that weatherstrip and this annoying squeak will go away.
I wiped some silicone lube to that weather strip and the squeak went away.
@@chrisrivest5459 I grew up in an 04 Tahoe, so I actually kinda like the squeak. It’s nostalgic.

Hey man. I just wanted to say that this is my first time watching any of your videos and it was a joy to watch. Your analysis of this vehicle was very thorough and informative. Thanks for sharing. Subscribed!
Hey! I appreciate that!! I'm very glad you enjoyed!! Welcome aboard!
my family had a 2001 chevy tahoe gold color loved it
there great suv for families
Nice! Yeah man!
I got a 2003 Tahoe Z71 with 245k miles ...love it.
Excellent! Keep on rolling!
Wow very nice!! That's great what a beast!
Very informative! Didn't know much about these before. Good job.
Glad it was helpful!! Thank you!
Best Generation of tahoe hands down very reliable and a timeless design solid metal I gots to have mine in black z71 of course
Never getting rid of mine
I agree!! Such a keeper
Nice review.
Most of the "Reviews" on You Tube are nothing but a sales pitch.
No drivers seat grab handle..
You're the first person to point that out.
I appreciate that! Thanks for stopping by!
I really enjoyed your Tahoe video. So thorough and you were pleasant to listen to. I subscribed 🎉
Welcome aboard!!
Hey, I know that truck. Gets the job done every time, with some fun on the side. Great vid bern!
Hell yeahh thank you sir!
Yeah right LOL, they're sick
Best Video and best looking Tahoe with original wheels
I agree!
Great video. I own a 2002 1500HD 4x4 in Storm Gray. Just bought a 2001 Tahoe 4x2 (Storm Gray) that will need a motor. Can't wait to get it running!
Thank you! Nice! That'll be a fun project!
I just got a 02 yukon and love it so much been wanting one since I was a kid
Nice congrats!! They're sweet rigs
@@BernonCars thanks it will be perfect after I figure the ac out
Bern, I've got to say, you've chosen a great theme song.
Thank you!! it gets stuck in my head sometimes LOL. I can absolutely do a Tundra review soon! I have one lined up!!
@@BernonCars👀
We have a 2002 LT - have had 10 years - bought from our daughter who purchased it new. Approximately 168,000 miles. Runs perfectly with timely preventive care.
Our Tahoe does have a Moonroof as per your question.
Enjoyed your comments and review. Thank You!
Nice!! That is excellent! Thank you for your comment as well!
Have an 03 Suburban LT 5.3 with 77,000 original miles. Has a 6” lift, reprogrammed computer, 18” Trail Boss Wheels and LT285x16xR18 tires. Love this truck, looks good, drive’s superb, and gets up and goes.
Woww nice setup man!
I’ve owned the Yukon and same gen Silverado and it’s one of the best driving large vehicles you can get!
Hell yeah!
Thanks for the good content 👍 keep them videos coming 😊
Thank you I certainly will!
My wives tahoe can haul double my 09 cayenne turbo...amazing cars 00 - 06 chevy/gmc, best used car in my book & safe for family and kids as well, worth every penny and then some👍👍
They are so good! The best for sure!!
The wife and I both have suburbans, hers is 2002 lt with117k. Mine is a 2017 with 133k. Love them both. They both get 17 to 20 mpg. Very reliable and can tow anything we want. We recommend them to everyone. Blessings y'all
Nice that is great!
Thank you for watching! Love these GMT 800's.
What a steal!!! Yeah, if you take care of them they'll take care of you! Sweet truck man
Yes I have a 2000,4.8. Thank you for the video I appreciate it.🐐
Damn what a unit!! A keeper for sure, thanks for stopping by!
I'm a huge GMT800 fanboy! I used to have a completely bone stock 2003 Tahoe LS 4WD and I currently have a highly modified 2002 Tahoe LT 2WD and I plan on adding a Suburban Z71 and a Tahoe, as well as a round eye Silverado, cateye Silverado, and a sierra to the collection within the next couple years to have essentially the whole GMT800 line up
(The whole collection besides the cadi, and the Yukon, always thought they both looked a little funky
Lets go! I wish you luck with your collection, that's great haha
Now that is funny and awesome.... A MotorWeek John Davis reference thrown in the mix. One would have to be a real car person to get that reference.... LOVE IT!!!!!
You know it!!! 😂
i have an avalanche but my friends have this such a amazing duo love both
Noice I love the Avalanche, I wanna review one one day
@@BernonCars there both very good avalanche lets you have a truck back that looks sporty so i just picked it and one of the beat veichles ever made hope it makes a return one day?
@@atomicred604 I definitely do but it sadly won't be the same!
I have a 2000 Tahoe LT 4WD w/ around 228k miles. It has a power roof and the squeaky rear door on the driver’s side and the leather seats are so comfortable. It’s in great condition.
Nice! Haha I guess they all squeak LOL
Mine, as far as i can tell has every option so i am really loving it
Nice I'm glad you found me!! Nothing like these trucks man!
I love the production of your videos!
I appreciate that!!
Nice! I would love to find a nice Yukon Denali. Those are so sweet. The best gen!
First video of yours ive watched. Great video, and presentation. subscribed.
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Nice! Such great trucks. Im glad to hear it’s serving you well!
I love my 2006 GMC Yukon 4x4 SLT with the 5.3 and 4.10 G80 rear end.
Nice! Great truck
Great video! I Have a 2003 Tahoe LS that spent most of its life as a Sheriff’s vehicle (blue lights still in the grill). 205K miles and only real issue is very slow RMS leak. Last generation before the dreaded AFM system.
Thank you! Oh wow thats cool! A proper work vehicle
That was a good honest review. Thanks!
I appreciate that, thank you!
i have a 2006 tahoe either base or ls that used to be my brother's and the radio has been upgraded with new led lights as well
Sweeet!
Oh wow that is excellent! What an assortment. I hope you continue enjoying them!
My parents bought a suburban new in 2006 and it’s my first car now and she has 207k miles now
Trooper!
We have a 2001 with 315K on it she just keeps on going
Nice!!
Well-done. Love mt 4wd Yukon. My doors squeak too.
Haha gotta love em!!
What kind of tires are on it? Can I get a spec sheet? 🤔🤔🤔
got a 2005 with 190k got her for 3800 bucks! my family had an 06 when they were new, i always felt the comfort and reliability. flowmasters are the best 💪
Damn good deal! That’s great to hear
01 5.3 4x4 Tahoe LT owner here. 277k miles. I love her. Baby her.
Excellent. Well done!!
I bought my 2001 LS for $2500. It’s now my favourite truck and I love it.
Hey, i just bought a 2001 LT for the same price! i feel the same way!!!
Damn what a great deal!
That's excellent! What a great ride
I have a 2005 with 330k it has only let me down once because of the fuel pump issue but everything else has been perfect ❤
Sweet!! Love high mileage trucks!
@@BernonCars you should come and review my tahoe ❤
Excellant Presantion covered quite a bit 🏁
Glad you liked it! Thank you!
I have a 2002 GMC seirra single cab short bed SLE, shes a beauty and is still factory powered by a 4.8L v8, 155,000 miles and its a beast, no rust too :) GMT800 series all the way!!!
Ohh nice!! Way to go!!
Cool how GMT-800 known as the new model Vehicles come with the LS1 Corvette based V8 engine families for the time
This was a great video. Thanks much!
Thank you!!
I have an 06 Yukon Denali. 280,000 miles. It's getting old but it's reliable and I have always loved the cushy leather seats. I still look forward to my 20 mile drive home from work in my Denali.
Niicee I love the Denali
wonderful review , you did a real great job thank you
I appreciate that, thank you!
Haha nice! Thanks for watching man!!
I clean and silicone the weatherstripping around my sunroof, and blow out the drains once a yr and that keeps it from leaking.
Great video! Glad I watched.
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great review for this generation Tahoe thumb up .
Can I ask you what tires size are those they seem wider than stock . Thanks
Thanks! They’re 285’s!
Great video. Love my 05 Tahoe!
Thank you! Very nice!!
Yes I do have the 2005 ,I think they are in great tricks
I have a 2004 Tahoe LT. 200,000 miles. Rust in New England is the biggest downfall. Great engine, perfect size.
Nice! Yeah, I have bought a truck from up there before. It’s like a cancer :/
Nice, I wish you luck!
Nice!! Nothing works like a Chevy truck!!
I completely agree with you my family owns one of this tahoes and I plan on restoring it and maybe making it into a sleeper 😈
Hell yea!
I have 2002 Tahoe Z71 with 320,000 and running great!!!
Nice keep on rolling!!
@@BernonCars for sure at almost 85k for a new one.
Owned 4 now, definitely still solid vehicles!
Nice!!!
I want to own 4, haha
@@TheSavage3.6 they’re fairly inexpensive now
I love to hear GMT800 SUVs the Tahoe, Yukon and Escalade 5.3 V8 factory exhaust notes at idle. They sound like they have choppy cams in it. Honestly, those trucks aren't that slow. They move out pretty quickly for their size. Back in the day, you had to make sure you had the 5.3 instead of the 4.8 V8 by opening the hood and looking at the engine placard on the hood.
Interesting! I'm sure people unfortunately got swindled with that LOL
My Yukon and old Tahoe has always had that with the back doors to
Thats hilarious
Original owner of a 97 Yukon w/170k miles- had to order back then and waited a year -
Recently rebuilt front end for $3,000 and replaced front lower seats -
I think I'm just getting her broke in 😅
Woww nice! That’s good to hear! She’s certainly a keeper!
I have the GMT400 97 Tahoe 350cc small block, and I'm loving it. But I really want a GMT800.
Schweet! Good trucks. Yeah the 800's are really nice man
That's crazy! It's funny they all squeak!! I hope you enjoy miles and miles with your Tahoe!
Have a 2003 Z71 for 5 years now 153k miles I put Escalade rear vent covers on and lowered front 1 inch rear 3 inches to level it a bit. Overall nice condition Strictly street driven Had a 96 before , At least this has decent brakes. Daily driver is 2006 BMW 5 series ( my 12th BMW from since 1975 )
Ohh nice!! Sweet rides man!
I ❤your style
