My Jetstar Experience. We were supposed to visit Australia in August from Japan. We had a Monday flight that was cancelled and had to spend three nights in a hotel waiting for a 'recovery flight' which Jetstar said we could be compensated for. Our Thursday flight was also cancelled and we could no loner keep waiting so had to give up on our trip. Upon giving up we were told Jetstar no longer needed to pay for the expenses incurred waiting as it had been our 'decision' to cancel the trip. Jetstar is a company that on the face promises a lot but too often fails to deliver and too often at the financial expense of its customers.
Itsuka-san, I have flown with Air Asia and had a similar experience just like you. The good thing about budget airlines is that everything is snappy. You just have to sacrifice some of the extras. Its travel made simple and cheap for everyone. Plus, its mostly DIY, from booking to the check-ins. Only drawbacks are the limited free baggage weight loads. Great video as usual. Arigatou!
Great flight. I've watched about Low Cost Carrier explanation, and everything right in this video. Something different is in this video the Low Cost Carrier departing and arriving in major airport (but it's still acceptable, if around these two cities there is no airport with lower fare). Yes you are right, LCC Cabin crew doing anything, even they also doing Boarding check. LCC also using single type of Aircraft (mostly between 737 or A320).
wow that's such different experience compared to me flying to singapore with same services....at least in japan you keep the standard really perfect compared to other country. well guess you get what you pay from my experience.
I've only flown Westjet, Air Canada and American Airlines Westjet was great. Never had any issues with them Air Canada's domestic flight planes were fine, but their planes for flights to the US were awful, as they used ones with terrible air conditioning for the summer months. Also, during a pre-pandemic flight, I had issues with a delay from one connector to another and while I made the second part, my luggage didn't and had to be sent to my hotel the next day. American Airlines were also bad because their seats are too cramped. Luckily I was only in the air for an hour or two so it wasn't too painful
Here in U.S., on short flights, all they give you is pack of crackers, nuts or kind bar and small open cup of coffee or soda. I've flown American Air and Delta. I prefer Delta.
Those are the nicest and cleanest airports I've ever seen. And they have so many places to eat and shop. Japanese airports make American ones look like slums! Through the years I've flown to many, many American airports. None of them are places where you can relax and find something decent to eat before taking your flight. The food that is usually available is ultra expensive and just horrible. The best you could do at LAX's United terminal was McDonald's--even so it was a tiny store with only a few seats. I'd like to visit Japan just to visit its airports and train stations!
I apologize for interfering with my own business, but as I understand it, you work as a sales representative or a similar profession? It's not just that you travel around the country. Shouldn't your employer pay for your travel expenses? of course, there is an option that you have a golden parachute and you travel just to take time (golden parachute - you have a constant passive income). it would be interesting to know about this, a different mentality and I want to know what is in the head of a person of a different culture. and a slightly different question, shouldn't the bento be reheated? Or is it eaten cold?
Compared to the other terminals, the interior of Terminal 3 looks unfinished, like a Costco. Another way of reducing costs I guess, like having passengers board from the tarmac instead of a building jetway…

Interesting to note = Although Tokyo and Osaka are 314 miles (507 kilometers) apart, driving from Tokyo to Osaka can take 6.25 hours, or longer on toll expressways, because of traffic congestion. 👀(11.27AM) 50 mins to airport (Narita express 30mins). 15 mins travel within terminal. (16.15pm departure * about 41/2 hrs have passed !) .👀 Japanese / Asians are usually quite slim. The average height for a woman in Japan is 5 ft 2.6 inches (158.8 cm) which is also similar to the average female's height in the U.S, which is 5 ft 4.6 inches (164.1 cm). 👀17.32 arrival? (apporx 1hr 15mins flight). 👍Short haul flights can be good, bad or indifferent. In Europe many 'premium' service providers give cheap flights BUT, on arrival at your 'destination', the airport can be MILES away from ie a main city. 😶It is easy for travellers to get ripped off by transport providers such as cabs / taxi services et. 😶Many airports run regular CHEAP bus services OR a rail link et You just need to do your research !! Thankfully Itsuka gives good information on trips within Japan !👍
Wait thats actually kinda weird, they charge 2,000+ yen for NEX but the rapid train is only 700 yen? Wait what I mean its a difference of maybe 20 minutes but I guess you pay for the better seats?

Jetstar is a well known airline in Australia. Despite being one of the cheaper options, flying has always been a pleasurable experience.
