If you guys are thinking to purchase, be very careful on the air suspensions as they tend to leak. I have a 2018 750 XDrive and both of my front air suspension bags went out. First on the left then a week later on the right. Make sure you leave out of the dealership knowing and having the fullest comprehensive warranty that you can have because unless you know someone who's really close to you and used to work for bmw or have a lot of years working with bmw's then most likely you would have to take this car to into a bmw certified mechanic and they do not allow parts to be put on from 3rd parties or from outside sources. Which means they can and WILL source and only service their cars from oem certified parts. To give you a reference the left air suspension cost (With labor) was $2927.44 and when one goes out usually the whole bay goes out with it. When I say bay I mean within its alignment. So left driver goes out then passenger goes also and vise versa. The right one was priced the same. ALSO! If you do not fix this problem fast enough and we are talking about maybe a few days the air compressor is also known to fail with the air bags due to it trying to overly compensate all day and night pumping air into something that is constantly spilling it out which in then can cost you a whopping 2999.99 bucks. This was done under my warranty for a $1,000 vanishing deposit. So PLEASE FOR THE LIFE OF ME! Make sure you have comprehensive insurance that covers AIR SUSPENSION ! I have seen to many s550's and 7 series hugging the ground because they either never got the right warranty package or it happened outside of their coverage timespan. It doesn't have to cost to be a boss but you will pay dearly if you rush into one without the right warranty I can promise that. BTW mines went out at a staggering 47k Miles odo so it can happen at any time. BE PREPARED! Red flags "Possible chassis malfunction." "Chassis function limited." & "Possible chassis stabilization." Which are all tell tale signs of either bad engine/ transmission but most likely suspension problems because this generation is known for its bulletproof engine and transmission. Another flaw this car usually has is its camshafts sensors/ solenoids which fail alot in these things. They are not expensive and pretty cheap actually but since its proprietary then most of the times you will also need that serviced by bmw also which 2 of mines were 500 bucks but with labor was 1,500 bucks. This can be avoided also with the proper warranty. Tell tale sign of bad solenoids are a check engine light that comes and goes constantly. It might stay on a whole day then stay off the next. Most likely these problems are the solenoids.
I have the G11 2015 750 ixdrive i own it for three years no issues till now 48000km just got a check engine light comes and goes also have to change windshield water pump. Taking to the shop next week for service also. Satisfied its an excellent driving machine and enjoy every minute i drive it

Many people think they can produce a good youtube review of a car but most are not informative and not from the view of a long term owner / driver. I have tuned my 2016 BMW 740i g11 , FOB and turbo upgrades, I'm making around 750-800 bhp and this the most fun thing I've ever owned but damn with high HP numbers stuff starts to wear n give out 🤣😂
How much power do you thjink you could make with just downpipe and stage 1 tune? I don't know if I should get the 740i or the 750i I want more power but I need the best reliability. I know the 750i only has power
I have two BMW 7 Series a 730D which has the Harman Kardon system and a 740Le which has the Bowers and Wilkins sound. There is a definite step up in quality with the B&W with much better clarity of treble and more punchy bass. Harman Kardon is owned by B&W. I woild agree with the active cruise control, but with the heads up display its easier to see when the system turns itself off.
Also watch out for leaky steering Column cover on left side. Over time they go bad and water leaks into the cabin. One firewall panel for both uk and none uk models
EGR replacement was probably a factory recall, possible coolant leak in EGR cooler so they issued a recall to be done on B47, B57 2.0 and 3.0 diesel models I think.
bower Wilkins are the best Audio speakers ever.. i am in my 6th BMW 7 and many benzes in last 20 years and these are hands down the most amazing sounding speakers ever..
I would take extra caution on the air suspension. The air struts tend to leak, even on the low mileage G11s. But I think that’s problem on many vehicles with the air suspension.
Hi, firstly congratulations to your 7er. I would plug the diagnostic tool the best would be ISTA to check fault, but if don’t have it I prefer to visit BMW dealer.
2021 bmw 730d :) autonomous driving actually works. Now audi a8 doesn't come with leather dash board or leather top sides of the doors, it feels so much cheaper inside:( yet it is quieter on the motorway. I got the idrive7, laser light and bla bla bla. Merc did not have 4 wheel drive version in uk 2021 models. So if u want a car which looks luxurious, has 4 wheel drive and with diesel engine. Bmw is the only choice. :( but God audi is so quiet at 90mph is unreal. Cool review man :)
@p9Fx I got g11 but back in UK acoustics side windows are part of the package which I did not have. As bought it 4 months old. Yet they had 8 months old 730d with everything, like everything, massage front, ventilated seats, acoustics glass everywhere and like all options. But it was demonstration car and for 65k looked used. My one has nearly everything, and interior looked like brand new. I just love this 730d.
@@Matwiej19 Good to hear, I would love to know if there is a big difference in acoustics between the Current facelifted G11 which has double glass vs the G11 pre-facelift without it as I have seen two other videos people comparing the F01 model with the Pre- Facelift G11 on noise insolation and they both said that the F01 was quieter inside. About the A8 I searched on google and there is a leather dashboard, but maybe just not in Uk...
@p9Fx yeah it is in a8 with extra pay hahaha :) 7 series all free :) the Audi doesn't feel as special as BMW. Now is 2 months I'm driving 50tdi a8 as my 7 series got stuck in the service. My God is a night and day between 2 cars. Plus in a8 the engien and gearbox are so SLOW. You press acceleration and it takes up to 5/6 seconds for the car to go :)

only problem a telecommunication unit a battery (easy to replace )need replace 4-5 years ,may some company like to charge the extra ....do replace the unit if you a mechanic (i am not sure ) you know brake 101.....if got knocking noise when you brake only 2 problem ..the caliper movement,or the pads hang up easy fix.
Egrs on this and previous model are aweful. Only the law case in South Korea and states caused them to replace. But even the new egr coolers don’t last
Yes mate. The noise insolation in this car is shit. You can hear every car you passing by. I had a two f01 pre lci and lci and they were much quieter. Just turn the music louder and carry on:)
Hi Martin, can you tell what the deferents you find S vs 7 series. How was the comfort, suspension, is it a lot softer more comfortable in S550 or same as in 730d?

Im guessing vanos solenoids. They are a common problem in these.

740i (B58 used in Toyota Supra) is definitely much more reliable than 750i.

doors are not made by carbon…only parts in body structure such as pillars and roof strips are made by carbon fiber parts.

Did you try the Facelifted G11? They have fitted the car with double glass to make it more isolated... The Pre-Facelift doesn't have two glasses.

My egr cooler has been changed twice on diesel
Looking at a 2020 model but in Ireland they are fcking extra, ideally a 740d ld xdrive.

740Li is Best what you can get..Diesel will have problem with DPF and All diesel problems..Petrol engine B58 much better choice...

S550 or S560 Mercedes Benz is the way to go. Don't waste your time with a BMW.
