I am a Grammy. I’ve been prepping for several years. I have extra clothing for all my grandkids, and everyone else in my family. I have a garden and have been canning constantly to the point that I am running out of storage room. I feel overwhelmed land losing control of my home . But, I continue prepping because I know my grandkids will need it all in the coming days. We are debt free. Today I had a neighbor call asking for food. It was shocking to know how close we are to a serious crisis in this country.
I try to pickup extra clothing for my grandkids as well. I just found a great deal on some clothes last week and picked some up. I just need to get me some more jeans to put back.
The Holy Spirit is revealing that our nation is dealing with a demonic spell. What has been unleashed on our nation is unprecedented. Stay strong and keep the faith.
LOL nobody dares to vocally within my hearing to make comments about my preparations or beliefs, I am not afraid to speak up and they don't want to hear it from me! I was raised in foster care starting at 6 years old, moved 9 times and lived with 7 different families in 5 years and had nothing, it makes me feel better and less stressed to know that I have backup. I retired last November, and I will be 68 in 2 weeks, I have physical issues, so backup reduces anxiety-it's a win!
Yesterday, I was teaching a CPR class to a bunch of nurses. Normally, we never talk about things that could be touchy, however, we got on the conversation about the demonic spirits that are rampant in our country. it was so refreshing to have others see what we are seeing. We all agreed to pray for our country.
I’m pretty thick skinned, I don’t pay attention to the bullshit. I know what I have to do for my family so I do it. I let God direct me in my decision.
Yesterday my housekeeper was here (I do not need one, but a friend said this young momma needed the job). I was canning and she told me that she was afraid she would have to go to the food bank this winter. I asked why, she said her husband’s work is seasonal and he would be off this winter. So I asked her what does he do all winter? She said he just hangs out. I had to take a step back before I opened my mouth. So I asked her why doesn’t he get a winter job? I know plenty of farmers that could use extra help, or the factories are advertising for workers. The response what “ He doesn’t want to”. I then said, I am going to say something and it may hurt your feelings, but please know I don’t care. It is your responsibility as a parent to provide for your children, food, water, shelter, healthcare, not mine, not the governments. You better get your head out of your butts and get busy. No one is coming to save you and times are going to get harder. He should be ashamed of himself for not being the man of the house and providing. Then I told her, your kids are in school, get a 11-7 job at the nursing home, the school is advertising for kitchen help, for all that is holy do something instead of complaining. I wonder if she will come back?

I just happen to live around these numb skulls 😂. 2 weeks ago my daughter said she needed 3 processed chickens and could I take them out of the freezer to thaw. I said "Hell No"!! There are only 4 of them so I knew it was for a get together her Mother-in-law was cooking for.. I told my daughter I raised those chickens to feed us and if her Mother-in-law needed chicken she can go to the grocery store and buy it!! I am not in the business of helping her keep up her "princess" status! I am not afraid to speak my mind. No one but me bought the feed and cared for those chickens. I will Not be taken advantage of.. the line in the sand was drawn that day.
Please pray for my aunt Betty. I am hearing that they are moving her to hospice, she had a stroke last week, and a week prior I lost two ants in a week. They both were 86

Patara, You speak to my soul!! Yesterday I had to ask my gf to leave my home because of how disrepectful she was to me because she could not accept I have a very different (political) view from her. She instantly stopped and acknowleged her way and apologized! Others will respect you as much as you respect yourself! Also, I have learned to love my family and long time friends but have become more intentional on who I spend my time with. Would love to have lunch with you one day!! The drive from VA to TN is gorgeous!!
I got another 9 pints of pink eyed peas canned yesterday, and this evening I prepared beef fat and put it in a crockpot for tallow (my first time ever) and will jar it up for long term storage. I'm continuing to do all that I can to keep adding to the pantry!! God bless to all of you and keep on trusting in God!!
I have gone through this with a family member, one that I love very much. I have had to forgive this person, God’s command for us to do. I will not allow this person to be a part of my life any longer. God told us that we have the right to say we don’t want people in our life if they are not making us a better person. We don’t need negativity.
I don’t even tell people I prepare except my mom who lived through the depression. I’ve said my bit about that to people over the years and was snickered at. No more. I do not even justify it to my husband. I am hunkering down making the most of my resources especially food. How can people not see whats coming? Just look at real estate new listings and sales. Its SLOW. I learned from the last crash how we needed to pay everything off. We breezed through that, paid off all debt, bought a fixer on land.
Thank God I was able to purchase enough feed for my 2 dogs & 1 cat today. Enough to hold them over until Jan. WOOHOO!!! Yes, dry cool storage will reassure me they have healthy food.
I have canned , dehydrated, and frozen something every day. I'm working on elderberry for the last 2 day's. I've been greatly blessed with alot of elderberry this year

I lost my closest friend recently to cancer. He was on Hospice here with me. God will be with you in every way as you lean on Him, has been my experience.
I am so glad that I listened and took your advice. I paid off my bills. The only bills I have now are 3 monthly bills: electric, car insurance, and phone. I took a little bit of money and set it back every week. I also bought at least 5 cans of food to store back in case of an emergency. Three months ago,, my daughter was in a severe motorcycle accident and wasn't supposed to live. I rushed to Massachusetts from Arkansas to be with her. Today by a miracle of my Lord, she is alive learning to walk again. I was able to be with her the past 3 months because I followed Patara's advice on preparing. I am using my backstock to eat from till I get my first check. after returning to work. I just want to say, "Thank you Patara."
When I first started preparing, my daughter used to say it everything would be fine. Well awhile back, I ended up getting a sense of urgency and amped up my preparing. Now, she doesn't say it anymore, because she sees some of the stuff going on. There are still some things I would like to learn to do or prepare for. I also try to purchase clothes on clearance that we may need or use.

I was praying and heard plain as anything, “greater is he within you than he that is in this world.” That was very comforting as well a great reminder to me with all that going on in this world and has yet to come. So wanted to pass this along as a witness and hopefully a comfort to others.
