This is simply a video I’ve put together where I would like to share the process of fasting and prayer for anyone within the sound of my voice.

I've been going through a the most difficult time of my life.
I'm 22, recently left home, discovered my family is involved in idolatry and Witchcraft. It's been 5 months now experiencing constant attacks. It seem everywhere I go I keep getting attacked.

Fasting is one of the wills of God that delights Him and gives us answered prayers, but Jesus is the only one who can break us from any bondages and chains, Sins, Diseases, Negative mind and everything that are works of the devil for His stripes we are Healed and by Him we are free. I haven't fast before and I'm still a growing boy so for now I am only fasting for a day. I will fast longer as I get older, but as a teenage boy not eating is very hard! But Jesus is amazing and I need him not food.
Isaiah 58 is the best Scripture on fasting. I like to read Daniel's experience in fasting too, and his prayer too (I think it's in Daniel 9); how 21 days after he BEGAN his fast the angel Gabriel came to him, and he BEGAN coming to Daniel when he began his fast, but was detained by spiritial forces! Satan does not WANT us to fast!!! Fasting breaks the chains of our bondage to sinful habits, and draws us close to God.

Recovering Baptist, you do seem like you know what you are talking about. This video explained what to do before and after a fast. I would really like to know what to do during a fast. I’ve tried to fast 3 times but it felt like I was only starving myself. I’m not sure if I should spend my entire fast reading the Bible, or just to go about my day praying the entire time. I really want to fast for the purpose of becoming stronger and bold in my life for Jesus. I fall short of God by a lot and I want to turn away from my sins completely. I have turned from my sins but I fall into temptation because of my arrogance. Maybe you could bring me wisdom and incite.
When you fast, turn away from all evil, pray to God give in your time in prayer and read the bible........
Yes I know there are other chores like house work in the day entitled to us, still do them but live in spirit. You can do it praising the Lord through singing about how you love Him. You will surely see a change.

Thank you Father for this fast.
An answer came in the form of an open conversation between myself and a family member.
There were things that needed to be said.
What happened was unexpected.
It was not what I had expected.
It was far beyond what I had anticipated.
It also happened quickly.
It was like a light switch had been turned on.
My heart, mind and soul were able to get immediate relief.
Nothing this dramatic has ever happened to me before.
I know you are an amazing God, but what you did today has been waited for, by me, for along time.
Awesome God.
I can relate to the woman with the issue of blood.
She faithfully did everything she could for 20 years to stop the hemorrhaging.
One faithful touch of the hem of the garment Jesus wore, and she was healed!
Hallelujah!
Mine was not a physical healing but an emotional healing.
Thank you God for this godly woman's story.
Her persistence is a wonderful example for us to follow.
She had faith and with one action, she was healed.

DO NOT LET ANYONE KNOW ""DURING"" the Fast because when you let people know that you're fasting the Bible says "that's all the reward you will get". I know this from experience and I have seen awesome powerful results manafest every time I have Fasted in the past and let no one know about it!!!
On the other hand I also have seen no results whenever I've told people in the past that I was fasting and the same with other brothers and sisters that I know about... do not be deceived the word of God is the word of God and it says let no man know!!!

My friend came to my and asked me to eat cause she is a caring type she was disturbing I had to tell her and she understood I didn't need disturbances . Bible talks about delibrately letting people know so that they can praise you or appearing unkempt or weak outside so that when asked you'd say I'm fasting that's the one the bible meant .I can't tell anyone deliberately .God sees the heart .One love
