I came across this book through The Albernach Knitter's podcast and I am hooked, not so much on the actual knitting although I will do that too. But the history and stories are so fascinating. I am 82 years old and I have been knitting since I was 3, I have been learning new techniques and new ways of doing things for quite a few years now and it amazes me that there is still more to learn. I am a small person and standard patterns are always too big so the ideas here on how to size and resize will be very useful. I have wanted to start designing my own garments but have always been a bit stumped by the sizing aspect. I can't afford this book just at the moment but I do have to have it and I will buy it soon. I did see the documentary a while ago on Di and Sheila and their team of knitters and the knitting of the costumes for the movie. Wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing and explaining it all. xoxo

I love how soft spoken you both are. Loved the podcast. I ordered my book and am anxiously awaiting the arrival by post. Love the shawl you are wearing and I have the perfect orange fiber for the snood

I am so glad that I came across this video. I love the history of knitting and have read a number of books on the gansey (I am a Cornish fisherman's daughter and have a particular interest in them). Your research adds so much more to the knowledge of their origin, symbols and construction. I will be buying your book and knitting some of the patterns! Thank you!
