  • This is totally the easiest DIY maternity dress ever. If you have never made an outfit in your life, this dress is a great start. I love making clothes. This outfit is one of the simplest items I’ve ever done. The best part is, the dress is totally cute too.
When my sister made the wish to have simple, easy, and comfortable dresses to pop on at 7 months pregnant I couldn’t deny making her some. Providing even just an ounce more comfort is my propagative. Using stretch fabric, a soft poly-spandex mix, and just 2 seams; you can make a super cute maternity dress.
DIY’s like this are so fun and simple! You don’t even need a pattern to complete this look. The technique here is as simple as folding and cutting the right fabric.
The fabric is supposed to stretch over your body. This provides a comfortable and relaxed casual dress. If you cut the length of the dress shorter it is also a cute look for a top. Styling the look is as simple as shoes and accessories.
I plan to make even more dresses and tops of this same method for my sister in different fabrics. Animal print fabric would also make a cute option! But honestly personal style is always greatly reflected in fabric choice; with this design as well as any.
Doing such a fun little project is the perfect break between my bigger designs. I hope that this tutorial is a fun slice of inspiration for your next easy DIY fashion project. The look is maternity wear but I think this process can even be great for regular wear as well. If you end up using this technique yourself, tag my social media so I can see your finished projects.

My daughter-in-law is pregnant, and I want to make her some comfy dresses and this one is as easy as it gets. What stitch width do you recommend for finishing the arms, neck, and seam? I love this pattern, I'm also wondering what the bottom width was prior to sewing the seam. 😍🤗💝🎀☺🧡🧡🧡
