Chris what a phenomenal day of catching crappies. My favorite saying my best angler friend who passed away always said let’s play a game called “pott” pissing off the tourists! Worked every time someone was fishing and someone else was catching fish LOL! Thanks Chris tight lines take care and God bless!

It’s a you do you thing. I have about 50 combos, some are expensive, but the tradeoff is driving an eleven year-old car. Occasionally, you have to watch what you give away. A couple of years ago on my mail route, I came across a yard sale. The guy was dumping his dad’s gear for $20 a pop, including a Shimano Calais (maybe 2005ish). I gave it to a fishing buddy. It was mint. I’ve since found out that the reel went for about $400 back then, and some people on forums still claim that the Calais was the best baitcaster that Shimano ever made. So…there’s no such thing as too much, and be sure about what you’re giving away. A+ video!

Smoked the crappie! Nice work, Chris. Those KastKing reels are super light. Always thought it would be neat if someone designed a telescoping/folding chute/slide that bank fishermen could use to safely release fish from above. I’m like you… always hate tossing them back from elevated heights. Sometimes… you just gotta do what you gotta do, though. Stay warm out there!🙏🐟

I don't know maybe it's just me... But that reel seems to be a lower gear ratio, because you just don't get them in as fast as your last couple of videos... And maybe that is a key point to tell everyone... Just a little bit slower reel in the cold weather really helps you present the bait in a more natural way... And at a speed that I believe they can get to it easier! Great show, with lots of fish, is always a plus buddy, have fun and keep them comin' 😊❤

I have loved my Zephyr setups as well. I am trying to slim down and just carry 3 main rods. Right now I have a KastKing Zephyr Medium Rod Setup, a KastKing kestrel ultralight rod setup and a ACC medium light setup. All of them have different uses and places I prefer to use them.

The last kastking rod I had was a perigee 2 and it broke lol they since changed it and the new grip on them isn’t nearly as comfortable

@ Almost all the insides of the tips have come off most of my KastKing Zephyr rods. That’s why I grabbed the ACC this season. Needed a replacement.

@@OntheRealFishingI’ve had that happen on several rods with those ceramic or whatever it is inserts. What I did to several was mix up JB weld clear epoxy and let it sit just long enough that it was thickening. Then I’d put it over any cracks or chipped guide sections and smooth it out. Once it hardened, it was like a brand new insert. No line fray, nothing.

I told my wife this year that I had way too many combos, she looked at me like I was nuts. Have given away a few so far. I’m trying to upgrade some of my cheap reels to Nasci reels this year.

Don’t judge that’s how we all start fishing. Instead of talking go out there and tell them what line and jig to use I’m sure they’ll appreciate that. I bet that’s how you started it or someone told you how to use your rig. And nobody telling you anything they mad. You the one keep saying in th whole video I bet those people are getting annoyed because I keep getting fish. Looks like you think you are better than them. No bueno
