Good to see you back on the water, Dave!!! Hope the trolling motor was the last of your equipment failures! It's not always about the fish, it's the technique and the personality in the video! You keep making them, we'll keep watching them!
Those are the fish I like the sandwich size yum yum ! Wish I had a couple right now ! Be glad when my son gets some time off from collage to take me out love to fish ! And love your videos keep them coming catfish Dave !!! 😊
I'll take that for a "skunk buster" on ANY fishin trip. I've been finding big schools of shad in deeper water near creek mouths. The bigger cats were few but got a lot of fun sizers. Good luck to ya, Dave, and thanks for sharing !
And I agree about spending $4000 $should get a great trolling motor, but could be worse. I bought a brand new F150 and the motors main bearings were toast before the 30,000 mile mark. So lemons happen
Good to see you out and about. Always enjoy your videos. You probably should eat the cheese. You know the fish always bite better when you eat cheese! Thanks for the video!
Isn't it weird how much they prefer crappie over bluegill? I'm in Ohio and from what I've seen is they prefer crappie down there too. We don't really have a blue cat fishery other than the Ohio and a handful of lakes. But, channels and flatties just prefer crappie.
@jamestboehm6450 they eat them just fine but seem to prefer crappie. I didn't catch many crappie last year but they were hitting bluegill heads exclusively. They picked them over shad all year for some reason and only the heads. Big chubs and golden shiners are what I caught all my 20lb+ this year, those are my favorites. I don't know if you keep any to eat but put your cleaned bluegill in one bowl of water crappie in another and after about an hour the crappie bowl will have noticeable oil floating up top. But, they taste identical to me.
Hoover reservoir is tops for blues, lots of fish nearing 40 lbs and up. It’s relatively new fishery but they are growing fast and with that success the state keeps expanding the number of lakes getting stocked with blues.
@@russellstewart5414 yeah, I just live too far from Hoover. Caeser's Creek will be an interesting one to watch, the Muskie have turned out to be as good as it can get so the blues should as well as them.
My step dad has been watching you for a long time. He lives in pa taking care of his 85 yr old mom. He still lives in PA. I live in niota and am desperately trying to convince him the south is better. When he visits do you ever do charters? He's wanting to move and is close to retirement so anything to convince him to move south I am trying. Haha
I'm stuck at work watching Sir Catfish Dave fishing 😢. Not a way to spend a Saturday. Would rather be on the river. Great video Dave!!
If you're watching TH-cam at work you ARE living the life my man.

ENJOYING YOUR VID WHILE AT WORK
Good to see you back at it.
Enjoyed your fishing video.
Man every fisherman needs a good half pound of extra sharp. 😊
Glad to see you out again.
Hey Dave, me and my son fish the Potomac and use chunks of eel as bait. Works pretty good for the bigger cats here in Va.
How about some bank fishing again Dave? Another great video
Hes to famous for that ground n pound.... Has to be isolated to do what Dave does- ALL those dang nabbit distractions....

Dave lost a bit of weight. Makes fishing easier.
Looks good fella
Great eatin size fish.
Nice to get a video from Catfish Dave ❤
The shad head got hit a few times before you see it looked like it anyways and everything seems to have a slower bite in the winter here in Tennessee
Camera angle looks good from my house Dave
If I caught all those fish it would be a great day 😅
Whoooo FISH ON
I've got one of those mad trapper hats myself///bill

The lakes in East Central Ohio they seem to like bluegill, with green sunfish the most preferred.

Dave. Where are you catching bait fish when it's this cold? I'm in your neck of the woods fishing all the places you fish.

You need a chunk of cheese 🍕🍕
