@@noelramirez763 thanks Noel, I do have a few more underwater videos coming up but typically waters closer to me aren't this clear. Appreciate you watching!
Nice meeting you @ Greenfield again this weekend. I showed the kids this video and they loved it. We just ordered a cheapo camera off Ebay and are excited to try it out soon. - Tyler
I've had an underwater camera for a few years between a couple different models but most of the waters I fish are pretty murky. That said, I'm making more of an effort and I do have some underwater catfish vids coming up! Not much pike near me tho
Awesome video, man. I use the same underwater camera. Cream of the crop. I love how you have it up high on the tripod. I may have to start doing that. Less strain on the body. Just found your channel. Looking forward for more ice videos.
I know some people say this is not fair or sporty, but a true sportsman uses all the tools available to him. This is like a nature show AND fishing at the same time. AWESOME!
I actually went back another day with minnows and only got a couple decent perch on the minnows. Bass still wouldn't hit with the live bait. That's fishing though, thanks for watching!
I do but I'm not really fussed about lure colors, but that's probably why I'm not catching as many 😅 I feel conditions are more important, weather, daylight, depth and lake pressure. Clear, shallow water on a pretty popular lake tends to make the fish skittish but I could also have no idea what I'm talking about either 🤣 I throw white, gray all day in open water, sometimes chartreuse in low light conditions.
Great video man! I have a hard time finding crappi ice fishing there’s lots of structure in the lake I fish but just can’t find the big crappi in the summer time I can catch big crappi all day long. I do have an under water camera and a marcum lx5 so I’ve been doing a lot of hole hoping and searching for them. Any tips for finding them? Thanks
A lot of our lakes have a bunch of brush piles thrown in and it can be a crapshoot trying to find them too but generally I'm fishing deeper in the winter time. Not the deepest parts of the lake but if the lake is 25ft deep, I'm looking for structure in 15-20 . Not sure how deep your lakes are. Sometimes they aren't on any piece of structure and just roaming around the deeper parts of the lake. Keep grinding, you'll get it. Thanks for watching!
The amount of times you had bass come up on you you never tried changing it up and keeping the jig still. Every time a bass came up you started jigging it. Sometimes you gotta try different techniques.
If I was smarter I'd probably catch more bass 🤣 I can't help but start jigging whenever I see a fish. I even went back with minnows and they still were tight lipped.
I'm sorry if you're going to be out there in the ice. You need to catch as many as you can while you're there, unless you're going to go again tomorrow. You can share
Thanks for the tip Steve, I used to use spikes all the time but I've been using these ice plastics. I should keep some spikes with me just in case they're finicky.
I'm ready for the invite 😉🫡brother, let's get it... 💪 🙏 happy new years to you and the family. Hope all is well and leveling upwards. Tight lines. Keep up the great job 👍.
you're talking soooooooooooo much and so loud the fish can hear it in that shallow water and hesitate a LOT more. ESPECIALLY the older more experienced fish. the tiny ones dont care. thats why you arent getting any bass or bigger fish.
Pretty hard up if you're keeping 5" perch there on the ice. Usual suspects. Pathetic.
Kept it for bait 🤷

Beautiful footage! Been waiting for a video like this all season!
Thanks! I need to use the underwater camera more often. 😁
Love how you have the camera set up to were you can see perfectly under water. Love it man keep posting this kind of fishing!!!!❤
Thanks! I have a few more underwater videos coming up. Also love bowling too, got league tomorrow night 😁
That’s such an awesome view… looks like an under water view of a grass field with the timber line.
Like a documentary 😁
Watching fish behavior never gets old👍
I agree! Beats looking at any of the other electronics
Yooooo! Kit this might be the video that blows you up💪 good video!!!
Let's not get carried away with ourselves now 😅 but it would be cool!
Fantastic video. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to get out on the ice myself. Keep those videos coming.
Hey thanks for stopping by and watching. Good luck when you get out.
Awesome stuff dude; that underwater is great!
Thanks Matt, it is pretty cool. Good luck with the guiding!
@ thanks man, much appreciated not a full time deal, nice side hustle when I have the time!
I love the parts when he tries to dodge the smaller fishes for the crappies 😂😂
Gotta play keep away with the little guys 🤣
Very entertaining. I love using my camera too.
Thanks Kenny, I need to use it more often that's for sure

Great day on the ice. Great job on the video. Indiana here. Still waiting for safe ice. Can’t wait to get out.
Thanks! I didn't realize people ice fish in Indiana, good luck and be safe out there.
The camera is a great addition. Much easier to follow than the sonar. Would be cool to see you go for catfish or pike with the camera.

Its definitely takes the fun out of fishing but it's still cool to watch the fish come and take the bait
True sportsman uses all his tools to give him the most advantage possible. What a joke
@@doncaswell1846 still pretty fun to me 😁
Those ppl better be butt naked n use their bare hands or teeth to catch fish lol ... don't use any tools .. spears or fishing gear. 😅
Whats the camera stand deal hes using?
amzn.to/40qKxxl is the tripod
@FishingKit thanks for the sweet video and quick reply.
You're welcome, thanks for taking the time to watch
Yo i see them yellow bass in there too!!
Would have been cool to get one to eat on camera!
That’s crazy how shallow you are.
Yah this lake is weird, has a very gradual taper
Where is this, like what body of water
Are you fishing at Don Willam lake in Iowa?
Negative, this is up in Clear Lake Iowa
I love the videos, but yeah, I think it would look cooler with live bait especially with little blue gill
I actually went back another day with minnows and only got a couple decent perch on the minnows. Bass still wouldn't hit with the live bait. That's fishing though, thanks for watching!
Yeah be like that
Fishing in florida is not that different

The one with the piece of cut bait on it? It's from B wood hooks.

Do you have more than one color lure in your arsenal? Probably why you're not catching anything bigger than you need. White, white or a dark gray?
I do but I'm not really fussed about lure colors, but that's probably why I'm not catching as many 😅 I feel conditions are more important, weather, daylight, depth and lake pressure. Thats some kool video, what underwater camera you using?
Thanks! I'm using the Marcum Pursuit HD, there's an Amazon link in the description 😁
It's essentially a live fishing game which is very cool. Where are you located?
I used to be a gamer so it was an easy transition 🤣 I'm out of central Iowa
How shallow was it?
I'm only on about 3 feet
@ dang nice, I’ve never thought crappies, bluegill etc would swim that shallow 👍🏼 good to know
@oakgarage3834 yah this lake is a little weird like that. It has a very slow taper from shore so it goes shallow really far out

It's the Marcum Pursuit HD
Great footage! What plastics are you using? I have a similar type but they don’t seem as durable as yours.
Thanks, they're the ice flukes from Drastic Plastics.
I bet those bass would bite if you had some waxies on for scent?
Yeah it could have been the ticket but we'll never know. Went back with minnows and that didn't do the trick either.
Did not know that lake has yellow bass in there ORRR can be white perch.
Used to have a bunch of yellow bass in there, no white perch tho.
Save some fish for my boy typical250. 😂
Nice underwater footage. Do one for the catz when you getnon them next time.
Thanks! I might have some underwater kitties in the pipeline 😉
stick a Nikko Hellgrammite on there and or some little white bobby garland money milks and you will catch tons of crappie and bass
I might have to try up sizing for sure, thanks for the tip!
Use minnow heads catch them all day
Didn't have any with me but I did go back with minnows another day and they still were finicky.

No need to, I go plenty of times and I do share my catches when I do take fish home.
Nice fish but if you want to catch more fish get some ice fishing jigs and some spikes or wax worms or mouses
Thanks for the tip Steve, I used to use spikes all the time but I've been using these ice plastics. I should keep some spikes with me just in case they're finicky.
Try just fishing without a camera to tell you when to ser the hook.
I was out there a couple times before this without the camera, and you could literally just look down the hole and see the fish anyway.
At 59:59 was that a fart...lbs
Lol yes, I'm surprised you're the first one to mention this 🤣
Damn you should move to the right seems there are coming from that way.
