I am travelling to India next week. It's a choir excursion, so it's mostly all planned rehearsals and tours, so we won't be out and about on our own very much. But I am still very nervous, because I have ADHD and get overstimulated and overwhelmed very easily by new things and I tend to feel more calm when I know as much as possible about what is to come, so that everything I'll see, hear and learn will be easier to place and order in my brain and I can enjoy it more. So naturally, I now have about 93840 tabs open and I'm trying to write a little script, a profile of the place I'm going to. BUT IT IS ALL SO VAST AND COMPLEX! I want to venture into every single thing I don't know yet. Indus culture, the languages, the architecture, the ancient city states, food, general history. I feel like I should have started 3 months ago with this. :D

    many mistakes in this video
    1. mughals are not mongols they were turks
    2. india didnt flourish in the rule of mughals , but it flourished in the rule of maurya and gupta era , it was called sone ka chidiya , literally means golden bird.
    3. indus valley civilization was not on indus valley river , but majority of it was along sarawati river , which dried up in 1900 bce , which makes more senese , because the civilization start declining at that time
    4. indo aryan migrations happened way before than 2000 bce , we can see vedic culture in ivc , mostly it may have come from northern iran , there is a recent paper on proving this.
    5. u forgot about mittani empire , which was an indian empire in modern day turkey
    6. indus valley civilization didnt pop up in 4000 bce , the oldest confirmed site is 7500 bce ( birranan) and there is one site on aghanistan which is like 10000 bce .
    7. the alexander didnt simply won , he struggled a lot , obviously because it was his first time fighting a battle with elephants , but yeah he finally won , with a lot struggle , and none of the indian sources dont mention about porus and alexander , and due to the injuries in that war he most propbably died in babylon .
you can fact check this on google , if u think

That's a popular misconception, but no problem. The first nuclear test happened in India on May 18, 1974, in Pokhran, in the time of Indira Gandhi. The next series of tests in Pokhran as well, happened during Atal Bihari Vajpayee's tenure
