- These Toro Workman’s are handy utility vehicles that can haul and dump about 2500lbs. I found one in pieces for $140 at an auction with the hopes of putting it back together or using it for parts.
I'd repower with a 186f/186fe engine with electric start, and divorced(not in flywheel with stator) charging system (an alternator instead of the stator) a comet 780 torque converter and order a chinesium manual locking axle with matching gearing to enable use of the 4wd by replacing the missing front axleshafts
This could make for an interesting shell for an electric conversion. Save all the combustion parts as spares for the other one. Then put in a golf cart rear axle, a Navitas motor and controller, and a lithium pack for example. Toro has sadly never made an electric HD but the electric MDs are great workhorses. And the golf cart market has made 48V lithium conversions really easy. See EcoBattery for great options on those.
That’s a good idea, I will keep it in the back of my mind
Id pay that all day as long as i had a G or 2 to put in it!
I own a Toro Mult-iPro 5500 Sprayer. Where can I find aggressive rear tires like Andrew has on his machine?
The tires on my toro came with it I’m sure you could google your tire size and find something more aggressive or your local tire shop
@@13csepi Thanks for the quick response. I checked the wheel and tire size for 3300/4300 after making the comment. The wheel size on Andrew's machine is a little smaller providing more tire options. After two hours of searching, I have no alternative for a 26.5x14-12 tire.
I thought those had bigger tires mine has a very common zero turn lawnmower size
@@UrimThumminif you go down a half inch to a 26 you should be able to find a lot of aggressive tires that’s a more common 4 wheeler size
@@UrimThummin a true standard r1 ag 6.00-12 tire(6-12 tires often get mislabeled as 6.00-12) rolls at 25inch od 6.5inches wide if you want ag style tires... A 6.00-12rice and cane (pr-1/r2) tire rolls at 26-3/4 (680mm) outside dia, 6.5inch (165mm)width (would make for a great dual rear wheel build)
I would pay that as well
