It's really been a while since I programmed one of these radios so it's becoming difficult for me to give detailed answers to the many questions in the comments. I beg your forgiveness if I don't give the answer you hoped for.
Hi Wayne very good explanation, I did it for me with 2 GM 360, one is radio 0001 and the other 0002. All is working , except the aknowlegement. I see the incoming call and receive a message, but the radio doesnt send ack out. I played with channel busy on off, but no change. PS: Got it, timing problem raised from 140 to 500 and now it works
@@cwh050 Never mind , meanwhile I understood the concept with a little testing, works fine. In my case, the problem was the delay till TX the 5 tone was to short, but youmust also consider, only to change the delay of the first encoder message in telegram 2. if the delay between the two messages in telegram 2 is too long, you can also receive no ackn. The concept is easy, if you have a look on the RX side (decoder) than you understand, what to fill in in the encoder :-) kind regards
Hi, I have programmed my radio with the instructions in your video. Now, I'd like know how programming the State Call. Can you make a video where explain how to do?
Status call is fairly easy: just add another encoder and use (S1S2S3) instead. There are different ways to handle status but the most popular is to have this sent as an auto-ack. My problem is that I've not programmed one of these radios for about 7 years now so it'll be difficult for me to explain. If there's enough demand, I'll certainly look into doing it.
It would be interesting to show how to make a Multicall, explain how to change the fields to enter a number that is not in the contact list. greetings IZ5RGO
+lospedalettino Sorry, I don't have these models anymore. To manually enter an address is fairly easy from the keypad. To make a multicall, you would substitute the relevant numbers with A. So for example if the encode sequence is 01(A12A3A4) and the user enters 00AA; the radio will send 0100AA and any radio with a decode sequence of 0100xx will be triggered (where x is any digit 0-9 BCDF).
PLEASE do a video on GM360 Base radio! My screen only shows the channel name. I can't see who is talking. My radio send my PTT ID but not the other PTT ID when they are talking. I need the radio to do this automatically as we have about 500 radios on the network running with a repeater.
The GM360 is the same as what I’m showing here and the other videos. Only difference is that the GM360 doesn’t have a keypad. I haven’t programmed one of these radios for a long time so my knowledge is quite rusty.
@@cwh050 Thanks. I'm struggling with my GM360. My radio is sending my PTT ID out correctly to other radios, however I can't see the other radio's PTT ID when they talk. My screen only shows the channel number/name. No one in South-Africa can help me.
Zambesi Irrigation And Pump Supplies Follow this video and you’ll get it to work. The programming is the same, only that the GM360 doesn’t have a keypad.
@@zambesiirrigationandpumpsu6123 HI I have also two GM 360 radios, one 0001 the other 0002, can send out selective call and its shown on the other radio, but no acknowlegement is sent, did you made a solution, tnx
No, these were professional radios which used by users who have no need for this. In many countries, having a professional radio with VFO mode would not be allowed.
Hi, i have successfully programmed my gm360 with your video however have tried to program my gp340 on certain programming (Decode Sequence 1) wherever the brackets have been used in the sequence it comes up Invalid reference valid are (T1, T2 any idea why?
Dear , I enjoyed a video but I had a code plug which is sequence 2 : (a1a2a3a4a5a6s1s2s3) I think the forgot 02 that is the code selective but what does mean this all nine digit !!!Please help
S1S2S3 are status digits and the user would select these from the status list. A1~A8 are address digits and come from the contact list. It might be worthwhile for you to watch the first video in this playlist which explains all of these.
Bjohan75 5-Tone is just a name and (nowadays) has nothing to do with the number of digits. On current models, you can have up to 20 digits in a sequence.
Wayne Holmes yes but u can just add 5 (or less) on the keypad. So i am just curious... why did u choose just 6? =) in other words... any benefits with the extra digit compared to 5?
+Amir H The HT1250 is no longer available. If you are buying a new one it will be old stock. Otherwise it's a used radio. The same goes for the GP380. The HT1250 was only sold in North America.

Sorry, I haven't worked with these radios for more than 10 years now, so any remaining knowledge is now buried under all kinds of other knowledge.

can you share the software? or where can i get the gp380 software?
Is it possible to program the PTT-ID to be sent at the end of transmission instead of the beginning?
Yes, set PTT Keyup Mode to disabled, tick PTT Dekey Encode and choose the Telegram that contains the PTT ID Sequence. See from about 14:55
Is GP380 compatible with DP4401 compatible with each other..... Can they communicate together?
In analogue mode, yes.

The GP340 does not support decoding of variable digits. You can only use variable digits (A S 1~8) on a display model.
Did you get an acknowlegdement from the other GM360, selective call is shown but the other radio dosent make an ack, tnx
and for emergency code case may have to choose the number 99999 as encoder sequence please inform
That is all dependent on how the system is configured. Select-5 is flexible enough to allow all sorts of configurations.

Bjohan75 more room for expansion and less risk of falsing
Do you know about the quick call ?
I'm guessing you are referring to Quik-Call 2?
+Wayne Holmes yes sir. That's correct. I have a gp380 and our department is using quick call 2, i was wondering if you can help me with that.

Да согласен, тема очень интересная а вот инфы на русском совсем нет. Видео очень поздновательное но без перевода тонкостей не понять.
