Hi bro. I have Motorola Gp338, but it got EEPRM HW ERROR. I used CPS R6.12.05 to reprogram it but when Read Device, it tell me "Size of RNA Region must be at least 3 bytes". Can you help me fix it?
+Nguyễn Cường You might be able to recover the radio by 1) writing a default codeplug to the radio 2) reading then writing it with Tuner and 3) upgrading the firmware with the upgrade tool**. If all 3 don't work, you will need to return the radio to Motorola for repair. **Upgrading the radio requires a HLN9742 flash adaptor. I don't know this specific model very well because it was only sold in Asia (and North America). In Europe we had a model which was similar to the GP328. The information in the above video is only applicable to the Select-5 models - the GP338 is a MDC1200 model: hardware is the same but the softwre is completely different.

I assume that i need to have one identify as 001 and the other as 002 , i`m sure is simple but i can`t have it done.... any guidence where to change 001 to 002 , at what fields will be very helpfull. i still cant get my tone outs to work, i tried 2 tone and decoders, for dtmf and select 5, guess im stuck listening to the county when i really just need my two departments.
Hello, I have a Motorola gp340. After I programmed it and call other radios with the same frequencies as what I programmed the channel/frequencies seems jumping. Example when I turn the radio to channel 1 it was calling channel 2 instead of channel 1. I already checked the frequencies for each channels and still the radio is not working well. Any help or advice? Thanks in advance.
I have a question I hope you may be able to help with. I have 4 Motorola GP340's. 2 I've had for a while and never re-programmed and 2 I have just purchased from eBay. I have now re-programmed all 4 to have matching frequencies. The two older ones can broadcast to all radios, however the two *new* ones only work between themselves. Do I need to run any updates? Have I done something wrong? I'm new to this so i'm unsure as to what is likely to cause this issue. Any help will be much appreciated! Thank you.
It sounds like you may have a configuration problem. If you press and Side Button 1, the squelch should open (assuming this button has been set to Monitor). When the squelch opens and you transmit on another radio, can you hear any transmission?

the dark side there are are multiple reasons why thse two radios won't talk to each other. Did they work before? Have you (are you able to) checked the programming? It might be worthwhile contacting a Mororola dealer to help you with this - see bit.ly/1yoroXA.

Thank you for this tutorial, I have a litle question. I search to get a signal when the squelch is open or not on side pin. I can not use RSSI PIN because when you use CTCSS or DCS, the RSSI pin is active all time and not only when the code is detected. You think it's possible to program it for get RSSI pin to 3V only when squelch is active? If not, can you give me where i can get the COS (control of squelch) on the hardawre board? I don't think that's possible. The GP300 series was not designed to connect to external equipment (other than the audio accessories) via the side connector.
Hello, Sorry for the late response. Indeed, I tested on the pins of the connector as well as on the motherboard. The only one solution I can find is to use the external pins to recover the signal from the hp, which deactivates the internal ones.I noticed that when plugging in an external hp, the hp part Internal passing through a bypass capacitor, 3v or 0v may be present on this capacitor. I think I work like that. Unless you can m "indicate a more professional solution where I can find the true squelch control signal on the motherboard of this TRX? Thanks in advance.

There is no standard frequency. These radios can be programmed to any frequency combination between 403 and 470MHz (in the case of the UHF model). The only way to find out is to read one using the CPS.

Дмитрий Ульянихин you will need the programming cables and software (CPS). I'd suggest rather using one of the factory default codeplugs than reading the radio. What you see in my videos is applicable to all the models - just leave the parts out that you don't need. There is no programming manual but there seems to be plenty of information on the Internet.

Monray Grobler the GP680 is a MPT1327 trunking radio. It does support limited conventional operation (16 channels with PL or DPL). I have some MPT1327 information on my Blog but you need access to a MPT1327 system to really make use of the radio.

If you can’t open the codeplug because you don’t know the password, you’ll have to overwrite a matching default codeplug that came with this CPS. Writing a default (or any other) codeplug overwrites the password and any configuration in the radio.

You need to reprogram the codeplug There is no way around the password protection, reprogramming the radio will set to factory defaults so you will lose the frequencies already in it.

Is scan enabled on that channel?
sounds like the RX and TX are different freq maybe

(T1) in the encoder sequence and set user defined tone 1 to 1750Hz at 1000ms
