I think you all go to easy on David. If he wants to live at home and save $$ for the rest of his life, thats fine. He can continue to date & just bring women back to the basement. However he came to MAFS to take on a wife when he is not positioned to take care of that responsibilty. He shouldve never been cast. It isnt so much that he is a loser for living at home or that Michelle is jealous he is able to live at home--- it is that he isnt demonstrating that he can even take care of himself. I dont care how much $ he has saved up. How is Michelle supposed to know that he is responsible enough to support himself and her if he aint doing it already!?? And if he had his parents to fall back on instead of being homeless, why wouldnt Michelle be concerned that she was set up with a man who is getting back on his feet? You gotta think. Generally women prioritize stability and if she is desperate enough to marry a stranger, she likely wants a family. She is 38 years old...she doesnt have 8 years to shoulder the load while David gets himself together. He very well could be a responsible person who knows how to 'adult' but again how would she know that if he isnt doing it? And even if she doesnt want kids, why would she want to potentially carry David on her back and struggle? She has an apartment making it on her own. She didnt come to be set up with a man who will leech off her. Again he could be a responsible dude who can take care of her, but if he isnt doing it now, it is rightfully concerning and i dont blame her for checking out.
I will say this. There is nothing wrong with David living at home. HOWEVER, there is something wrong with living at home and trying to take a wife. That just doesn’t make sense to me. Get out that basement first. That being said. David should absolutely leave Michelle . She doesn’t like him. She doesn’t want him. And he just there taking the bad treatment for nothing.

Living in a basement of your parents house, knowing you’re being taken care of, there’s no way you’re ready to take on a partner . Let alone a wife.
