    Ares are a joke ATM, hope they fix it one day, its a cool fighter.

    I believe you have proven why its a junk ship, it needs double the ammo count with guaranteed shield penetration.

      It already penetrates shields by 80%. Once we have physicalized damage - i.e.: you can damage the power plant / shield generator directly, then this ship will be fearsome. It's quite good now, if the servers are kind enough :D At some points in the video, I stop shooting because hits are not registering, and with the second Idris, I cannot shoot missiles at all. Even still, it has a very high damage output and two of these ships can easily take out an Idris in a few minutes. I think it serves its purpose well at the moment, but it will improve a lot when further systems are added in.

      @@bazilisek502 They haven't removed anything. Since 3.18.0 shields only block a maximum of 30% of the damage coming from ballistic weapons, depending on charge level. While in 3.17.5 and before, shields blocked at least 50% at 0.01% charge and up to 98% damage at 100% charge.
