Note: THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE 2 CONTROLLERS..
what I figured out is that if you have 2 controllers and one is already connected use the other controller to go to settings and then go to Bluetooth then click on Dualshock 4 controller the one that doesn't have a dot next to it the controller you're currently using should have a green dot ( i think it's green) to let you know you're using that controller click on the other controller which the dot doesn't have a color on and remove the device then take the other controller and press the PS button and share button at the same time and wait for the light to flash white once it's flashing wait for Dualshock 4 to pop up in Bluetooth once it does click on it and connect the controller

For anyone still having trouble, this video fails to mention that you need a USB DATA CABLE. There are 2 types of USB. Data/charge and charge only. A simple charger will not do. Either locate or purchase a data/charge cable then retry and it should work a treat👍🏻

It works,just try to find the original lead from the Ps4 controller not a longer one used for charging them or some not used for controllers.I had the same

Didn't work
very late to this but note that you need a cable that supports data transmission
What I did which worked:
1.Unplug the ps4 while it's on
2. Do it with it plugged in a usb
3. Turn it back on and wait it reset
4. Once it tells you to connect, press the Ps button and it should connect and work
No problem :)
If this still doesn’t work try use another cable, if that doesn’t work either then put your phone (or whatever your controller was recently connected to) in another room far away as the controller might be trying to reconnect to it
This is the third video I tried to disconnect from mobile and its the only one that worked.I don't know how long it would've taken me without this video

his method should work for most people but it didn’t for me but you can also pair it to bluetooth like how you did on your phone try the video first but if it doesn’t work use this comment as a backup

The first time I searched this up, videos said that you need to get something pointing and press that on one of the holes on the back of your controller and I was like "No way am I about to do surgery on my controller". And was stressed about how I would get it to work but this video helped me so much. Such a simple, quick and easy method!

my controller is staying on orange and it’s not turning back, even when i did that
I also know another Solution And I have done this Method.
So for those who’s aren’t working still, (it requires another PS4) so what you need to do you need to use the charger that came with the other PS4, and charge it for a while (maybe for an hour thats how long I did) and then take that wire and put it in the PS4 you need to use then press the PS button. Hopefully it works for anyone.

If this does not work this is what you need to do
Basically first turn your ps4 off then go to phone turn of you Bluetooth then turn of your internet only on the phones that are connected to your controller then go back to ur ps4 and turn on your ps4 by the psn box
Not the controller after that connect the controller cable to your ps4 controller the click and wallah you are ready
After that go ahead and turn on your wifi on the phones that were connected 😁😁👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

It honestly depends on the lengths of the charger. (Usually better when you use a mini USB charger) Longer chargers usually only have a flaw with charging than Bluetooth itself, while mini chargers run quick and easily since they don't have to be bolted so quickly. (have electricity run through them too fast which doesn't activate bluetooth connection)

Yes You need to buy a PS4 USB cable if you use your phone USB cable or any USB it will not work
