My top 9 most anticipated games still coming this year: -Mario & Luigi: Brothership -The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom -Super Mario Party Jamboree -ANTONBLAST (from Summitsphere) -Decline's Drops (from Moulin aux Bulles Studio) -Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake (from Square-Enix) -Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club -Ace Attorney Investigations Collection (from Capcom) -The Plucky Squire (from All Possible Futures) Honorable Mention: Black Myth: Wukong from Game Science (something I haven't actively been following but I think looks cool)
My 3 most anticipated games for the fall: 1- Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake: Dragon Quest XI S, the first and only game in the series I've played so far, was one of the coziest RPGs I've ever played and was a ton of fun! And especially as November will be a very busy season for me, having a cozy RPG to sink my spare hours into is very appealing to me ^_^ 2- Metaphor Re Fantazio: I'm not usually a dark/political fantasy sorta person, but something about this is grabbing me beyond it being a game made by some of the Persona Team. 3- Ace Attorney Investigations Collection: Even as someone who played and enjoyed the fan translation of Investigations 2, I'm so excited that an officially localized version of this game is coming to the west!
Oh dude same I adored dragon quest 11S. I didn't realise what I was missing out on till I played it so I'm super excited for the dragon quest 3 and 1/2 remake!
My own most anticipated game for the rest of the year is Mario&Luigi Brothership, mostly since getting a new M&L game after AlphaDream’s closure was nothing but a pipe dream for me. But for it to come out so soon after the recent remakes of Super Mario RPG and TTYD, but make the jump to gorgeous HD visuals is nothing short of amazing. And so I’m more than looking forward to when it eventually drops. Though I’m also largely looking forward to Zelda Echoes of Wisdom (first 2D Zelda since ALBW, which’s 11 years old at this point, and where you get to PLAY as Zelda), DBZ Sparking Zero (loved Budokai Tenkaichi 3 back on the PS2/Wii, and this’s basically a continuation to that), Metaphor ReFantazio (the first brand new IP from Atlus in ages, rather than under the SMT umbrella) and Sonic X Shadow Generations (a remaster of one of the best Sonic games with some dope new Shadow content on top. Let’s just hope it turns out a lot better than the Sonic Colora remasters a few years prior…)
Fantasy Life was such a charm, top 3 on the 3ds for me. When they announced Fantasy Life i, i freaked out. It might nkt look like much but seriously everybkdy should try it. You might be suprised how good it is
I had somehow not heard of Metaphor at all before this but it looks SO SICK! How could I have missed this? This might be my most anticipated game of 2024 now!
Well, DQ III is November. But even leaving aside Metahphor? There's also TMNT: Mutants Unleashed, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred, Romancing Saga 2 and Life is Strange: Double Exposure. And, I guess, Black Ops 6 for those who are into that. Then in November there's Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Slitterhead, Antonblast, AC Shadows AND stuff we don't know of yet. And then December. Lego Horizon Adventures. On the Switch! It might not be as dramatic as the main series, but I get to play as Aloy finally!
Sonic Shadow Gens, DQIII, Locomotive, Zelda, Ace Investigations for me. Would love to add DecaPolice to that, but Level-5 hasn't said much lately. Plucky Squire and Farmagia are on the radar though.
Mario and Luigi Brothership for me; my most anticipated game rn. Plucky Squire, Echos of Wisdom, SMP Jamboree and AA Investigations collection are also up there for me
One game I’m looking forward to releasing this year (albeit in early access) is Aero GPX. I’d call it a “spiritual successor” to F-Zero, but no one from the original dev teams are involved. Instead it’s done by a solo developer who has recreated the feel of F-Zero X perfectly as well as added a few mechanics that increase the crazy amount of speed you can get. It currently has a demo on Steam, I’d recommend it!
My top 3 are 3. Emio Smiling Man: FDC 2. YS X Nordics 1. Mario and Luigi Brothership But honestly theres so much good stuff on the way. Every month has some amazing new release to enjoy. Its going to make the rest of the year fly by.
Great discussion - I'm still surprised at how much is still to come out this year when we already had a very stacked year at the beginning. I'm really excited for Visions of Mana, Dragon Quest III, Mario & Luigi, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and Metaphor. And I'm sure there's more I'm missing that I am keen for too.
@@EvernightStudio Haha thank you so much! I needed this for my study/cleaning playlist so badly! That's cool that they do things like that. I'm def going to check out other mundane Nintendo menu music then. I appreciate you! 😊
You don't need to play the other games in order to play P5 or P5R, as I was someone who started with P5 and then went back and played through P3 and P4 I would definitely say yeah you can just basically start with any of them
Yeah that was a weird part of the video...The guys were basically looking for excuses to say they don't like Persona games just so they don't get too much backlash in the comments lol.
honestly my list is just two entries: HoloCure update 0.7 & Shadow Generations everything else is Honorable mentions, i don't really like Fighting Games but i love that we're getting pre-Disney Marvel vs Capcom, & SNK vs Capcom Chaos; i forgot if Metal Gear Solid Delta is comming out this year or next, M&L Brothership looks amazing, Honestly HoloIndie cooked super hard with all the Fangames
Mine, for just 2024, are probably Mario & Luigi Brothership, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and bonus is Dragon Quest III HD2D.
Looking forward to Astro too, but gotta give a shout out to Sack boy, Ratchet and Clank - there have been some great 3d platformers made by Sony the past few years.
Sparking Zero is easily the game i’m looking the most forward to. Love the Budokai Tenkaichi series and every trailer makes it look so good, and i can’t wait too see how far people will be able to go with the custom modes in the game
Ive been holding off trying dq3 for a while so my first playthrough could be the remake, it would have to be my number 1 most anticipated for the rest of the year
I've never touched a Shin Megami Tensei game, nor any spinoffs. All I know is that it's been going since the Famicom, and PEersona is a spinoff. Hearing you mention Metaphor here, I decided to look for a video that will explain SMT like I'm a dumb baby And it turns out y'all made that video for me 2 years ago!
Ys X Nordics is the game I am looking most forward to this year! Everything I’ve seen so far looks great and the music is sounding sublime. Can’t wait for October
the thing abt sparking zero is that though it is a 2024 game i dont rly think of it as one cuz ill probably end up getting the like complete edition on Switch 2 when that inevitably happens and goes on super sale like all these dragon ball games end up doing
It's kinda like American Horror Story in a way. There's some continuity between them depending on which one you watch but it is mostly an anthology series.
Ace Attorney Investigations, Astro Bot, and Zelda are my top 3 all in September. And pretty much everything else is on my radar so there's a strong second half coming.

Sorry I'm just really excited for Astro Bot.
