I love Mahalia Jackson so much. When I was going through a hard time her music carried me through. She wanted to live to a old age but life didn't allow her which is sad. She is now singing with the angels.
Mahalia's voice is so big Bobby and Mike could just be background singers. LOL Love this woman, she didn't know how to be fake, nothing but her pure bright shiny self. It must have been a joy to be in her presence. There are some people like that. No matter how bad you're feeling (or they're feeling) they leave you smiling.
It wasn't diabetes that killed her it was a scarring disease that eventually affected her heart and caused heart failure. Although I'm sure the diabetes didn't help anything.

Unfortunately, both Jackson and Darin faced serious health issues throughout their lives. Jackson was 60 and Darin 37 at the time of their deaths.
In my opinion Sinatra switched because he was betrayed by the Kennedy's after the election used him then pushed him to the curb.
