- Stephen Mburu, 29, Munania is the new Deputy Governor of Murang'a County. Mburu wanted to vie for MCA seat in the 2022 General Election, but failed to clinch the UDA ticket during nomination. Little did he know this was a blessing in disguise as Governor Irungu Kang'ata, out of nowhere, literally, picked him as his deputy when his first choice, Dr. Winfred Maina, was deemed ineligible as she had not resigned from her previous work within the set timelines. In an exclusive interview with Citizen Digital, Mburu reveals the intrigues into his appointment as Kang'ata's deputy at only 29 years.
