These downpipes, especially the Fullrace ones hiss BAD due to mostly improper seating. You've got to invest in some exhaust sealer, and put that in between the down pipe and catback. If you're going to return the Skunk2 one, go with a catted down pipe, and go with Fullrace, as long as you can install it without any seating issues, it sounds great, doesn't drone too loud (at least for most, I'd get a j pipe, as the drone just on my FR cat back is too much). Keep in mind also these guys do break in a tiny bit just due to needing to seal up with the carbon buildup.

Also I recommend the Milwaukee m12 tire inflator. It uses the same battery and it’s really nice because you can set the PSI you want the tires inflated to, and you can walk away.
Yo brother, when I had my 9th gen full bolt on, I ran the full race catless and at first I had some hissing. I needed up re-torqued everything and it got rid of it. Just give it another look and make sure everything is torqued down and give it a week or so.

Well, first of all, you need to get an hasport transmission mount for those aftermarket DP... or your DP is gonna break! It does help with rattle as well. Expect rattle when your car is cold, but when it's hot, there is no more rattle ^^ I had and Civic Si 2015 FBO before and I know quite a lot on them. And yeah, the skunk 2 DP doesn't sound that good. the thickness of the skunk 2 DP wall are so thin that it does quite sound like a exhaust leak, but you get used to it. I didn't now either when I've installed mine, and I was desappointed a little lol. If you have another question, just ask me !

The 9th gen hiss is awful but I was watching your video and noticed it’s hissing a lot more then normal. This may be due to you not plugging in the 02 sensor. Try to plug the 02 sensor in and go for another ride. If you pop a check engine light just buy a “02 sensor Defouler” it will take care of the check engine light.
The smell goes away after it breaks in. My 10th gen Si is catless and it was bad at first but the smell goes away and you can only smell it when you're standing right behind the car. But even there it isn't bad after a while

I’ve been looking into getting an Si and I ended up pulling the trigger on a 9th gen last night. Never thought I’d be the guy with two civics, life comes at you fast lol. Excited to see what I can do with this platform I’m shooting for 350 to 400 whp, really struggling between at prl turbo kit or a mercracing supercharger kit though. Anyone got advice??
the skunk2 downpipe doesn't have a flexpipe so you for sure are going to want to get a stiffer rear motor mount so it doesn't crack. You'll get used to the smell as well

Yep, i did my research and seen videos years ago when i decided to pick up the RV6 catted and I have to worry about emissions in my state. Ooof. I've had my DP installed for 3 years now, no problems (I also installed hasport rmm 62A).
From what I've heard, the manual in the new Accords sucks. Also, they are completely different cars. One is a sports car and the other is a fast-ish commuter car. That's not to say that the Accord is a bad car or that it is not enjoyable to drive, but it is much MUCH different than a Type R.

well, for the 10th Gen, it smells pretty good actually. I mean, non-car people might think it smells nasty, but I like the smell of the 10th Gen with a catless DP. On MY 10th Gen, I have the MAPerformance catted downpipe, and you can smell the exhaust a liiiiiittle bit, but its not bad at alllll and sounds AMAZING
I live in Cali and got prl downpipe, frontpipe, hks I’ll be installing it on my channel soon. My advice is get it and enjoy it because you can always uninstall it later. 😈🤙

Idk if you have motor mounts or not but you'll definitely need them or else that downpipe will crack

I recommend getting a Milwaukee M12 3/8 stubby impact as well as a M12 3/8 ratchet. Will make installs way less of a PITA

Also, for the odor, it's normal. They put some oil coat on the DP for prevent rust. after a 100 miles or so, it's not gonna smell that bad.

I think you have a small exhaust leak. Maybe the gasket is not on properly. It's cool to see you get dirty wrenching.

That rattle could be the exhaust hitting a stud for a heat shield, in the instructions for my yonaka it points out that you need to cut the stud down.
If you plan on doing more, (and ik you do) invest in an impact wrench

Im not exactly sure, David. I never figured that out. All 2012-2013 Sis do that with aftermarket downpipes. Some DPs generate more hiss than others

I think you should have gone with a full race downpipe instead of a junk2. Many people on Facebook had bad experiences with junk2.
