@@Camhill182 i installed a invidia n1 70mm full exhaust on mine,on stops windows down has burnt plastic smell, but windows up or cruising dont even smell,dont know if its the same or has to do
@@noah4600 cabin noise has a lot,ican deal with it but i have wife and 2 kids din t like it for them,they didn t complain but ,i just put the silencer reduce it about 85 90%percent still sounds above stock really good
@@skyhigh5747 You really can't swap heads on these unless you completely change the way the car is designed. Better to go forced induction if you want big power. Probably will never be a big aftermarket for this gen. I still love mine 2013 Si. So fun to drive, a little more torque and still pulls pretty hard up top. You can easily hit the limiter in first if you don't shift fast enough and goes at least 75 mph in second

Vtc variable timing control thats what the 10th gens changed to instead of vtec to get more air/fuel it uses the turbo with Vtc on intake and exhaust. More control over cam angles helps with better exhaust scavenging. That's also why are 10th gen feel the torgue at lower rpm.
Eyy brotha just saw your downpipe vids and I had the exact same reaction after installing my RV6 catless bellmouth. Looks awesome and clean installed, but man that hiss sounded like a terrible exhaust leak. (Bolts and gaskets were triple maybe even quadrupled checked lol) Just wanted to give you a heads up that the RV6 catless does the same so you don’t go through the same headache. Maybe going catted like everyone says will be the key to getting it sounding right.
I plan on going catted soon! However, coilovers and the 2012 sedan Si front bumper are next, so i wont be able to fix the downpipe issue for another month and a half or so
Yo! I have the 1320 header and the megapower RR skunk2 catback exhaust and I'm getting some shaking in the exhaust. Did you upgrade your motor mounts? And what do I do with this other o2 sensor for now? 😂
I have not upgraded thr motor mounts yet, but will soon. Where the secondary o2 sensor normally goes, the aftermarket downpipe should have come with a plug that goes in that hole

ummm im not sure if the motor mount will help with the rattling. I think this one rattles so badly because the flex pipe is so huge. it has the biggest flex pipe out of all aftermarket downpipes for the 9th Gens
I got mad for a second bc I thought it said 280whp LOL. My downpipe only gained me like 50whp. I love the progress you are making, I love it. However, I was expecting it to sound better?
What is your rev limiter set at? I looking into getting an RBC intake manifold. Looks like you are going almost to 8k. Theoretically RBC is good for atleast 9k on the 8th gen. Question is if the z7 engine is safe to rev that high and will it be able to make power at that rpm. I have heard of 230whp with fbo.
I can't wait for the 8th vs the 9th. It should be a really close race if both are tuned with bolt-ons. The 8ths have a nice power curve above 5-6k. The 9ths have a lot more tq
I changed the exhaust manifold and cat on my focus and it rattled like that, I had to go back through and make sure every bolt went back into the heat shield plus the hangers for the lower portion of the cat was hitting the body. Definitely need to have a second look.
I think removing the heat shield would get rid of the Redding or free up some of that unessary cabin noise, I have the full race catless dp installed on my 2014 civic si and I have no rattling, also the extra metal piece that goes into the gromit broke before I got my downpipe on so it’s not mounted with the rubber in the middle. @8059thgen

The sound is probably your downpipe rubbing. I’d get a stiffer rear motor mount to prevent your dp from cracking
