    Johnny thank you for your real raw coverage of what is going on in Ukraine. My father lost everything and contact with everyone in WW2 in Ukraine. Now after seeing your video’s from before this war and now gives me a greater understanding of what my father lost and others then and now. He died just after Ukraine received their independence from Russia. He never thought it would happen. Ukrainian’s are a special group of people. Thank you for supporting them. • @Dima0zykov
      @Dima0zykov 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Frog Universe No, it really is like it was described before. Bigger cities are logistical hubs, it's much easier to deliver humanitarian help there, then it gets distributed across nearby town and communities. Sometimes, the smallest don't get any of it, as it mostly stays in those hubs.

    • @rubenskiii
      @rubenskiii 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Frog Universe to understand how it works over ther you need to know a bit about how the roads and stuff there work, i've had to deal with it myself so i can talk about it a bit.
      Most connections in the former Soviet Union are from big town/city to another, as straight as possible as direct as possible. Another, maybe even bigger factor is that everything is connected from/to the biggest town in the region. This leads to situations that village A and B might be sorta next to eachother but aren't connected: You will have to go from Village A all the way to the big city/town and from that big city/town all the way to village B. When i was traveling through the former Soviet Union and had to be in a specific town often my google maps route would somewhat or flat-out resemble an arrowhead: > with the "tip" of the point being the big city/town.
      This makes things difficult with resuply because you'l HAVE to help the big city/town 1st otherwise they won't be capable of helping their satalite towns.

    • @stacey_1111rh
      @stacey_1111rh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not necessarily. It’s subjective to the situation. Resources can be accessed by different means in smaller cities. As long as you can get yourself to where you need to get it’s all good. If you’ve ever had to survive a modern day catastrophe in a city or countryside you’ll know. Been there done that. Texas winter storm of 2021 was by far no joke. And lemme tell you Ukrainians have their crap together way better than our major city local governments did here. That’s also an important factor.

      @O R Sure, comparing peaceful democratic country interested in self-development with enemy state gearing up with nuclear warheads.... you comparisons are so US-centrist that i doubt you'll ever understand.... :(

    • @SnakeHelah
      @SnakeHelah 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @O R There is no reason to invade neighboring (or not) countries in any given situation, unless there is a clear advantage. Wars are fought for either ideological or strategic reasons. Here it's a little bit of both, but if you're stating the West/NATO "expansion" (saying expansion here is a complete joke because there's no such thing as NATO expanding, countries CHOOSE and WANT to join NATO, not the other way around) argument you're being quite ignorant and completely misreading the situation giving more credit to the Russian "cause" (intentionally or not).
      And yes, the US has done a lot of bad too in terms of military warfare, but it's a separate topic probably best discussed in contexts of victims of US aggressive military foreign policy and not in a video about helping the victims in Ukraine.
      I laugh at people who say they're against the war, then explain how sending weapons to Ukraine will cause more suffering. What are you really thinking? It just feels to me that it's obfuscated language. According to you, the best decision Ukraine could've done was probably to completely surrender (which is what Putin expected, hence the "we will do this military operation in 3 days" rhetoric) right? This is complete nonsense and sets a very dangerous precedent for the peace of the 21st century. It's already threatened by Russia thanks to the war they started. If annexing countries left and right became the norm, we would see many more instances like this by bigger players. For the sake of the whole world Ukraine cannot and will not ever surrender. Sending weapons is great support.
      Either way, your argument falls apart because:
      a) the reason for the "military operation" from the start was to free "independent republics" that were under "attack" by Ukraine. (totally bullshit pretext but it's a Russian tactic since a long time now, see Georgia in 2008 as a recent example). Nowhere was stated by Kremlin that this is to ensure "security" for Russia. This is just the talking point of the zombie average Russia mentality. "If we didn't do the military operation we would be the ones being attacked right now". Complete bullshit.
      b) Reason A becomes completely irrelevant since the invasion was full scale, not just those "republics". The start of the war began with a complete encirclement of border of Ukraine around Belarus/Russia.
      c) Every single country that has been annexed by Russia in the past will attest to the same experience the Ukrainians are going through now. RUSSIA is the expansionist state, not NATO, not the West, etc. Which western country has invaded and annexed territory in recent 20 years? Russia and they're doing it again. What part of ensuring the security of a country the size of Russia involves annexing states left and right? Stop the bullshit, please.
      d) Any argument that claims Russia was backed in a corner is looking at this in a conflict POV, i.e inevitable war between Russia and the West. Who is interested in this war? Since when has the west, or any populations of western countries, even talked about invading Russia or doing anything military in Russia before the Ukraine war? This is completely nonsensical. The former warsaw pact countries are literally buffer states that Russia WOULD LOVE to have because it allows them to narrow the gap that needs to be defended IN CASE of an invasion. But no one in their right mind would ever invade Russia. Well, maybe after this war the mindset is different now. Point is, Russian government and state news, TV has been ramping up their population for war-like conflict mindset for YEARS. Look at recordings from 2015 discussing a "military operation" to take the Baltics, etc.
      e) Nuclear argument. Now, this one I can somewhat see from RU pov as a "security issue". But it quickly falls apart much like the non-nuclear security question. The border of RU-US is literally 80 km apart in Alaska. Belarus already has nuclear weapons NEAR NATO BORDER (near countries, which do not have nuclear weapons btw, even if NATO does have them).

    • @wizardoflolz5626

      @@SnakeHelah The entire reason all this conflict exists is because of US wanting to hold it's global power along with all her puppets and sister states like the AUKUS, they care for nothing else than global supremacy, for their "liberal insane world order". NATO are warmongering psychopaths especially the US part, they've killed millions of arabs just in the last 40 years alone, for the "greater good". If you believe Russians are evil, then US is the same but on a tenfold.

    It's so easy to share numbers. But when you see those pieces of other people life it's simply crushing. What person you must be to order it and what person you must be to follow the orders or just simply agree on it. Thank you for showing it to the world and for the compassion you have. We all should do everything what's in our hands to stop this and to never let this happen again.

      Mariupol is just hell on Earth. I think media focus that it gets still isn't enough. None of the Ukrainian cities was bombarded and destroyed as Mariupol. While Bucha's before the war population was ~36k, Mariupol's was more than 400k, imagine the scale of disaster. Right now around 100k people still stay in Mariupol with no food, water or medicine. The world hasn't seen such horrors since 1945.
