Thanx again for the view & comment. I really like my fish finder, but as I said in video, it sure shows a lot of fish that aren't hungry. Mine doesn't have the down imaging.

Thanx for watching. I like that this fish finder is water resistant, some are not believe it or not, & it's small but has a great screen. I think I came up with some creative ideas when I mounted it & the transducer, check out my video that shows the installation 😁 👍🏻

Have you used the down imaging?

Thanx for watching & the question. I purchased my fishfinder without DI, didn't know if it would be useful since I usually fish in 6 ft or less of water. I have never used s fishfinder with DI.

Funny. I have a hat that says that very thing. :-)

Thanx for watching & commenting. I really do like my fishfinder. I just don't put much faith in the actual fish it shows. But if I know the depth & can see underwater structure, I can usually do pretty good.

looking into getting a fish finder. Seems like youre only focused on the top half of the screen. Could you explain what the bottom half is?

Thanx for watching & good question. My fish finder can be set for auto depth range (that's the mode I usually use) or manual depth range. In auto mode, it defaults to 0 to 15 feet. I usually am fishing in 7 feet or less. At those depths with 0 to 15 feet range, the bottom portion of the screen isn't really usable. This fish finder will represent different bottom types as different colors. Red tends to be very soft, non solid bottom such as seaweed. As the bottom becomes more firm & solid, the colors will change to yellow, green, blue and white or grey. You can set the depth range to a manual range and also zoom in to make more of the display actually usable. But at the depths I fish, often the cone of the sonar beam is not very wide so it usually won't show many fish until depth becomes deeper than 6 ft. I basically use it to know the depth, if any structure is down there & what the bottom type is. When it is red, it is soft & weedy. For rockfish, I look for areas of little or no red & mostly green or blue or grey. At those colors, the bottom should be more solid, rocky or muddy which is what rock fish prefer. Hope this helps.

Thanx for watching & commenting. I believe this fish finder very useful. I lowered sensitivity and it works much better.

Thanx for watching & commenting. Yeh, i realize the screen delay & the scroll speed causes this but my transducer is mounted in front to minimize this & my lures are 30 ft behind me when i troll.Sometimes fish would scroll across screen continuously for 2 or 3 minutes. Fishfinder works better now with less screen clutter since i reduced sensitivity.
