Great reaction. In a fan Q & A video shortly after the Show Mask Go On series she said this was the worst song choice she made and that it was her choice. The song was originally performed as a duet and at the first rehearsal she realized how physically taxing it was but could not change. Look forward to your reaction to round 3 "Oh Its Not Yet Evening" which I think is one of her best performances.

This song was written by two young girls and both names are Masha. So the people called the song . The song, of course, is simple with a dance rhythm and quickly became a top song and the two Mashas became famous.For people, something that is easier to remember is better and they can be happy or sad. This gave the girls an impetus for further development in show business.

You have to keep in mind that on this competition the performer must sing on a different predetermined genre of music each time, so for the first time we saw Diana perform songs that are completely out of her usual repertoire for example pop songs this one.
I am sure that many things and inside jokes that judges said must have confused you so here is some context on the song it self, this song was written and performed by two women (2 Masha) Diana here performed both of their roles she sang for two people so this was very difficult for her to do while dancing and the final product is incredible.
Diana's version of the song is way way better than the original like one of the judges said.
The big judge that said that Diana did not do well is the funny guy of the bunch, he is a very cool guy and he loves Diana very much, Diana was calling him dad during the show, he is just joking all the time.
After your next reaction to the third performance of Diana on this show which is the "Oh it is not yet evening" with which she got 1st place for that episode like with "Can't help falling in love" i will prepare and sent you her next performance and i will continue to do so until you finish them.
Since you mentioned Diana's foster father passing away, there is a moment on this show where Diana speaks about it, i will cut that clip and i will sent it to you, it is very emotional, you can watch it as an extra on one of your Diana's reactions, i will try to sent it to you before your next reaction, maybe you can add it to that, it is not long but it is worth a watch.

Диана не пьет и не курит,тем более не употребляет никаких препаратов затмевающих разум А русском языке есть такое лёгкое обозначени,я пьян мне хорошо.это состояние когда тебе легко и ты на вершине ощущений.Можно это ещё как то описать,а в данной песне,просто так выражает танцы.❤

Regarding the phrase “I’m drunk” - an explanation: in the subtitles it is, in principle, correctly translated, taking into account the fact that in Russian it is shortened in order to fit into a poetic meter, but its meaning is restored by Russian speakers according to the context. This meaning is as follows: “Dad, I won’t come home (on time) because I’m drunk (i.e. I drank at a party and I’m still having fun and dancing there).”

Assuming you are going to react to round 3 "Oh Its Not Yet Evening" next, a couple of points. This is I think the first time she appears without her trademark bangs and there are a lot of facial close up shots. Just watch the intensity and passion she displays with those dark eyes literally blazing especially toward the end. She had to quickly wipe away some tears at the end. She joked later after seeing her performance without her bangs that she realized her eyebrows were living a life of their own under the bangs that she had been unaware of all these years.

The lyrics of this song are ill-suited for Diana. She has mentioned in interviews that she does not drink alcohol. She lived the horror of alcohol induced abuse when she was a toddler. I think her decision not to drink alcohol was an easy one for her.

Greetings from Scotland! Diana walks out on stage dressed like a Greek goddess, all life bowing down before her - perfect! This was the 2nd performance in this series and totally different to "Can't help falling in love" with dancers, moving around on stage while singing and even some rap singing! One of my favourite performances after "Crow" and "Personal Jesus"

Очень странно что у вас нет такого понятия , что выражения "я уже пьяна" может быть не только значение "напилась",здесь в песне разговор только песне, а не о "пьянке" и она проводит время с друзьями, а пьяна от хорошего настроения , музыки, под которую с друзьми танцует, и от нежелания расставаться с ними, настроения на самой высокой ноте, потому и говорит " не жди меня я уже пьяна!" Вот попади вы в такую же компанию, что на сцене, после нескольких танцев, скажете тоже самое. Просто настроение, как от хорошего вина. У нашего поэта Есенина есть такая строчка "Я пьян без вина!" Не знаю смогла ли донести свои слова до вас и поняли вы меня.

She said after the performance that she felt guilty about having performed the song.
She is very aware of Russia's chronic problems with alcoholism.
Never having tasted alcohol herself, she is quite disapproving of excessive alcohol consumption.

Her handlers are doing her a real disservice by focusing on Russian recordings. Diana should be the star to come out of Russia, however, I think Daneliya might be on a better track.
Daneliya is Kazakhstani, not Russian. But, yes, she is more an a track to get world recognition. Diana doesn't seem to have much interest in becoming famous outside of Russia. She is so talented and such a wonderful person I'm sure she could (and probably will) become a worldwide sensation whenever she decides she wants it.
