Sometimes i find words like "special", "One of a kind", "Genius" etc too small to describe this phenomenon, the word "unique" has been used for too many things to still be describing "uniqueness".
She is a Singularity, a point at which a function takes an infinite value, the center of a black hole that pulls you in infinitely without the hope or will to escape.
I know that it's impossible to describe what I felt the first time hearing Diana sing and I can only imagine it being similar to man seeing the sun rise for the first time.😳🤩😍🥰 Thanks for all you do bringing Diana's performances to her fans. 👍

I had been an Angel for about 2 years when I first heard Diana perform "Rechenka" on You Are Super in 2018. I easily found room in my heart for this wonderful treasure. The more I open myself up, the more capacity I have. What a great time to be alive!
Not just the singing but the performance, a true stage animal, a performer. Hats off also to NTV for their really high quality production.
She's simply mesmerizing
Diana Ankudinova was working with mentor A Stepin in this season of the show. He published some reminiscences and thoughts about their collaboration that are very interesting.
About this performance, he said he had the idea for it in a flash, and then of course he and Diana worked together to flesh it out and make it work.
In my imagination (not what he said!), he connected the uncanny magical quality that Diana’s voice can have with the word “wicked [witch]”. The section where she sings very low is preceded by a kind of percussion rattle that sounds to me like the beginning of a magic spell ⚡️
He said he had an arrangement for Wicked Game he had been working on already on his flash drive and they needed something quick because Diana's choice for songs was rejected midweek and they only had three days left before she had to perform. I'm a fan of anything Diana puts her voice to but her work with A. Stepin on You Are Super and the ShowMaskGoOn are stellar arrangements IMO. He also said she wasn't easy to work with because she's a perfectionist that knows what she wants and was hard to budge. Personally I think contentious relationships bring out the best in artists, you need a little strife. That said I'd listen to Diana sing the Sesame Street song if that was what she chose to sing.

My friend, there won’t be another performance like this for the next 100 years, this girl is one in 8 billion people, I’m so thankful that I’m alive and found this princess of voice and stage, there are no words to describe it! The best thing is, she is just starting her career! Can’t wait for the next 20 years with her in this planet.

Just "Human" - the last of her performances in the 2019 super-season - to go, and you are done with all seven of the stunning performances 14/15 year old Diana gave on 2018/2019 _You are Super_ .
What next after that?
Systematic options are
1. Sticking with Diana at 14/15 and looking at performances she gave then on other platforms.
2. Edging forward to the performances she gave at 16/17 between _You are Super_ and _ShowMaskGoOn_ .
3. Going back to the performances she gave when she was 9 to 13.
My vote goes for option 3.
Even at 9, she was a consummate and amazing artist.

It is an amazing and utterly compelling performance.

The original release was from Chris Isaak. Not sure if he wrote the lyrics but it is definitely worth a look.

You will have a greater appreciation of her vocal Gymnastics if you listen to the original by Chris Isaaks. He does the falsetto like she does, but he doessn't even attempt her bass, or deep baritones. No suprise there. Great disection of her vocals, but most of us boomers are in love with the original, this one would still make the playlist tho.
