I just did this job today on a DC23 which is pretty much identical to the DC32. I was able to get the HEPA filter Qualtrex FIL309 as substitute for Dyson P/N 916083-02 in Australia. The motor 916001-01 had to get from the UK. $115 filter + $165 motor = $280 vs new machine $900. Don't buy just the bare motor unless you're confident you can get the cooling fan assembly off the top of the old one and it still works, the Dyson genuine part comes complete with the cooling fan fully installed. On mine it was very difficult to remove the 4 screws holding the motor to the case, they are Torx T10, one of them snapped, to replace them buy some M3 x 12mm bolts from the hardware store, doesnt have to be Torx head. Phillips head or Allen head is fine. Thanks for the video !
Does anyone know how the front caster wheel comes off? Mine is off the axel and might be broken but I don't know if this is one of those that just is popped out or there's a special screw in there.
