Great video - it takes reviews like this to give a good description of the differences between models. Thanks from WA state.
Congrats on being the first reviewer (that I’ve seen) to actual build up the kit and get it on the rocks! I enjoy my Base Camp RTR and the kit seems like a nice balance of DIY and some upgraded/alternate parts. I do like portal axles for performance, but straight axles win in the scale department. If I was in the market for a builder’s kit, this would be at the top of my list.
Brother, I've been away, but had to check your video's out first, still the Best!!
I dont know why Axial cheaped out on this kit - no tires, no rims, or no body. The original 2012 kit came with all that goodness minus electronics. THAT was a real kit to get you going!
It’s so you can equip it however you want. Nowadays, if they put in a Chevy body, people will complain they wanted a Ford. If they give us generic wheels, people will have wanted licensed wheels…
Beautiful location thanks for sharing !
Why would I get this kit with no electronics or pinion for $270, when I can get the full assembled SCX10.ii for $340?
It's a metal frame for 80% of the cost of one that's ready to run. Sure, the kit part is cool, but you're going to spend a lot more than $70 to get this ready to run.
I'm just irritated at Axial and Traxxas for making decked out rigs for astronomical prices, giving features I don't want (hi-low, portals, dig, etc). And then they make this version, thankfully a straight axle, but for waaaay too much money. Come on, guys.
Some people want to build and ditch the stock electronics, body, and tires for their own.
If money is an issue get one of the new Element crawlers. The Sendero SE is $299 RTR and so is their new IFS rig the Utron.
I was hoping for one of these. Thank you Axial!! Not too long ago, I bought the Scx10 ii raw builders kit, and i was left with a bunch of extra spare useless plastic parts just like in all their models. The gate markers I get but what about the rest?! Can someone please explain why the useless spare plastic parts? 🤦
I did a mks ds1220 servo, and it didn't fit the factory location, it's to wide apparently, so I installed on the opposite side in which it fit.
Hmmmm. I have the exact same servo and the exact same kit, but the raw 500 doesn't fit in the servo tray on mine. The slot they want you to put it in(where yours is) is smaller than the other two. Did you have to mod it?
Basebolt sounds alright
Thanks for the very good video
Sorry for asking a stupid question, is there a way to put a scx6 motor in this kit? I have one saved that I would like to use in something but I can't find where to put it.
I hope you can help me, thanks and congratulations on your channel
Did your kit come with c-clip for step C-1? Mine didn't, only 2 e-clips and it looks like the e-clips won't fit. As always, great review!
nice rig, goes well and looks good
I'd prefer it to be even more base and leave the dig as optional. Looks like a great kit.
Exactly.
Great kit build video
Just got done with my son's bit wr are getting a clicking from the transmission under a load.
Nice build
DeadCamp!!
When I saw this kit, my first thought was "get the Corvair wagon body with it".
Great Video , would you rather build or crawl them??
I like building and projects although I don’t have much time for custom stuff like I used to. I enjoy the crawling/ trailing too just for fun. Not really into going to competitions.
Definitely should call it "deadcamp" or "deadcamp blue" 🤘🍻🤘
Great video as always, awesome build. Such a beautiful location,I would get lost in the view and forget to have fun with the rc lol. Its such a shame someone had to put graffiti on the rocks in such a beautiful spot
Yeah, that graffiti was fairly recent. It is a shame.
Nice!
Nice Car and very nice Location😍🤙🏼
LG Manuel
Kinda weird axial would put out a car that doesn’t work with a bunch of popular bodies
It does work with their bodies. I “think” some of the PL bodies were designed around the SCx10II and also fit rigs like the Element trucks.
So no nitro or gas stuff here???
Damn. Was super excited until you said straight axle. I’ve got enough straight axle rigs. Want a portal rig
Deadbolt body sold separately! Lmao
They got rid of the scx10II raw kit just to release scxIII 😂 well atleast it has dig🎉
Should call that rc dead camp
He called it dead Camp! Another one Posting without even watching...🤦
@@AsurasWrath164 I did watch the whole video just didn't hear him say that
@@fatjoecanadian81 4:08
First!
It literally took a year for them to release dig... friends don't let friends buy Horizon.
Go buy a traxxa sport highlift you weirdo
Horizon owns just about all the big names.. I guess you're a Traxxas guy.
@creekcreeperrc7972 neither Horizon or Traxxas own Element, Vanquish, GCM, or any of the brands I buy.
@@moe282yeupp the real crawler brands not no toy grade ready to runs like horizon and traxxas u ever met a conp crawler using a Horizon or traxxas ? No me either those are beginner rigs vanquish all the way or rc4wd i love the element back to the future toyota build sooo dooe
This is the reality of RC guys. Fuckin cry me a river if we don't like the same thing
👀👍🛻🛻
DEADCAMP....
Yea, dead camp doesn't sound right 👨💀
pov the next friday the 13th movie
Definitely sounds like a bad "B" horror movie
