    Great review …I bought one and wanted to add to my experience.
    The instruction manual is straight forward and I assembled this unit with ease -especially after viewing your video. Thank you
    Just one “warning” for some reason- even if I use very cold water to fill my 5 gallon Jerry can…I let the shower just run for a few seconds…feel it getting warmer….so I turned it up to the medium heat…the unit completely shuts down! “E06” = water too hot
    So, I turned the shower head to off…turned off the unit from bottom…waited a full 2:00….turned it back on -only to now have the water inlet temperature reading as high as the hot water outlet (to the shower head) 104 hmmmmm.
    I checked to see if I turned the temperature dial all the way down to “LOW”…yup
    Turned the unit “off and on” again-and still, the inlet temp was high 104 -yet the water in the Jerry can was 74 degrees Fahrenheit.
    Has anyone else had this issue?

    Someone commented this one is the same as the Bouge brand in a different case. Since both were out of stock on Amazon, 😂 I stalked both Camplux and Bouge, and today the 'back order' notice was gone. 11$ more but Camplux won the race for my money. Good luck to those who wait! 😃👍🏼 Side note, wtf with Walmart and their multiple prices for a 1 lb propane canister? 🧐 Our local camping stores charge a damn fortune for Propane cans.

      The camplux battery is much larger than the Bouge, so you got the better unit. While both are almost certainly made by the same factory g just rebranded, at least Camplux has been in the business for a very long time selling water heaters, while Bouge just sells random rebranded items they think will appeal to RVers or campers.

    • @shangshuniu9636
      @shangshuniu9636 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@margyg Sure, they must come from the same factory. However, the fact is that BougeRV is owned by the factory's owner, while CAMPLUX is an OEM under contract. Therefore, the warranty provided by BougeRV for this product is significantly longer than that of CAMPLUX. Another fact is that FOGATTI's new portable water heater also comes from the same factory.

    • @margyg
      @margyg 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@shangshuniu9636 the battery in the Bouge RV is half the size. For me battery life is more important than warranty. Rarely does something go bad within warranty and even if it does often the hassle & difficulty of getting a replacement or making a claim isn't worth my time or effort as it cost me more than just buying a new one. While a larger battery therefore longer battery life impacts me everytime I will use this. I don't want to be charging a unit frequently while on a trip. Especially if all my device charging is via solar.
      Your statement that BougeRV owner owns the factory is like saying you should buy a rebranded iPhone knockoff from the same factory versus buying the OEM iphone that contracted with the factory to build it.

    • @margyg
      @margyg 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@shangshuniu9636 another fun fact. The trademark for Bouge RV and Camplux are registered by the same person, so probably the same lawyer for both companies. Camplux also makes gasland & thermometer but the main company is Junsky. BougeRV is owned by Gaungzhou Boju Information Technology. Guangzhou Boju has also been sued for patent infringement by Noco. This also reinforces your statement that BougeRV owns the factory but also my statement that they potentially infringe & remarketing copies of products that OEMs have made in the factory.
      Just another example of Camplux (own, as you state) being copied by the factory (BougeRV) that makes the OEM product for Camplux.

      @debs7411 The DC charging plug is a standard 5.5x21 mm DC plug male. So it is easy to adapt to whatever your charging options may be. I set up most of my stuff to use XT60 connectors & I was able to buy a XT60 to 5.5.x2.1 cable. But you can find all kinds of adapters premade or find a 5.5x2.1 male ended wire & wire yourself.
      For hooking up a bigger tank all you need is a common camping propane hose that goes from the propane tank to a male threaded camping connector. Screw the male camping side thread to the regulator instead of a 1lb canister.

    Best way to check for leaks is a lighter. Gas techs do this all the time. Propane in an open space is pretty safe, which is why it's the old school way for checking for vacuum leaks in your engine bay (fools use fluid).
    88 degrees doesn't sound hot at all. Even a hot tub runs at 102

    • @The_Ballo
      @The_Ballo 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it looks like the dial just manually determines how much fuel is being meted out so it's a lot like their other models, so much like the other models the output temp is based on the input temp.
      I currently use a copper coil (I made myself) and a pump to heat water for an inflatable tub. It sounds like this would be a lot faster, however. You could recirculate water until the desired temp is met. Nice thing about my current setup, other than the price, is it's small enough to backpack which I have done. This would be tempting to get for just car camping, however.

    • @margyg

      The heating works on a differential of input versus output temp. So just a couple of minutes of recirculating the heated water back into the container would allow a much higher temperature for the output.

      The battery led indicator is weird. I've found that as long as it is charging with main power off but battery switch in (must be on) that it always shows the battery indicator flashing the bars. Once it is charged it stops flashing. Then when you turn main power is on the battery indicator is all solid. I have verified it is charged by testing the voltage at the pump power outlet.

      The battery is twice as big in the camplux so it will run twice as long as the bouge. Also don't assume this was stolen from Bouge RV, there are other companies that are selling the same thing with rebranding. Bouge RV is based in China the same as Camplux. As a company Camplux has also been around a lot longer and already has an established business of selling portable tankless and on the demand small tank water heaters. Buying from Camplux is buying from a company who has been in the water heater business versus one that rebrands a variety of products they think they can sell to capitalize on the overlanding / van life craze. Kakadu water heater is also made in China.

      @@theboston3386not stolen when any company can buy from China and rebranded & slightly modified for the company. If as you seem to think, this was the sole proprietary patented design of Bouge RV then they have a legal path against Camplux. However Bouge RV has no patents. You can search for their parents yourself if you are so obliged to have facts to support your claim. Since Bouge RV and others just buy these from China and don't actually design them they don't have any legal claims of a stolen design. Same goes for much of the overlanding market gear, especially when it comes to roof top tents.
      I actually made a mod that I posted to Instagram to share it with others & then the company ( I tagged them in my post) that sells the item I moded made the identical mod (but refined for commercial selling) I made a year earlier. Did they steal my idea, perhaps, but I don't care and have no legal recourse without a patent.
      Funny how you think a company, Camplux, whose entire business is almost all water heaters, stole from a company that designs nothing themselves but just sells random rebranded items from China they think will sell. Maybe you should expect more from Bouge RV who does nothing original.

So my only option are to cancel my order or wait for 5 weeks for news when they will be available.
