Bishnu Shrestha fought with 40 robbers on a train from Ranchi to save a girl who was going to be raped in front of everyone on the train, he was an Indian soldier from the Gurkha regiment, He killed three of them in the fight and injured eight others. The remaining robbers feared Bishnu's brave attack and fled the scene. This movie is based on real events with just movie plots.
I went in blind (no trailer even) and this movie was catharthic! An adrenaline fuelled action flick that takes a while to start and it goes up several gears after the interval. I loved it! Some plotholes but nothing that detracts from the experience. Raghav Juyal especially is the MVP. There are no unecessary angles, songs, or anything that gets in the way of the film's plot. It's action reaching powerful crescendo in the second half. Go watch it!

I hope this movie do well in India also..but I don't think It gonna be hit...(Just for too much violence) and it's an irony that Indians love an American movie (like John Wick and Monkey Man) showing the same level of action and violence but don't support our own films doing this. ( like Rocky Handsome and Kill)
I heard many westerners (North Americans in particular) say that they don't like Bollywood movies. Most likely due to some bias. As to why, common answers I heard are that they are too long, or that they all have strange song dances.
Where have you heard that from? I'm American, I've lived around the US and people love bollywood. The only people I've come across who say they don't like it are indian-americans (depends on the region though). @raja-jl9os that's not really true though. Bollywood is consumed more throughout Russia, middle east, Africa. Even in history, bollywood was huge in the soviet era and actors like raj kapor are still seen as legends. Korean and Japanese films didn't have that reach. Individual movies/shows from east Asia are popular but as an industry they're not as popular as bollywood
India's love letter to Old Boy .... What a Gem 💎 where did that come from !! Finally an Indian action movie that satisfies action lovers to its core 🇮🇳
The Rocky Handsome fight scene is more cinematic with dramatic pauses and weird angles. All the action in this film is visceral, there is barely any pausing or posing for style points, just brutal vioelence.
The flashbacks and loud emotional music in some parts were the only things I didn't like about the movie. They could have gone with something more subtle and trusted the audience to feel for the characters because they were all well writen and acted. What the film does with it's antoganists is what I found most interesting. It reminded me of the video game Shadow of Mordor, where the baddies are not nameless/faceless and have their own motivations etc. Big win for the writing deparment!
Yeah! that's why movies like Kantara, Karthikeya, and Hanuman work. It's the connect with the film audiences want. Not necessarily a big star/s. And Kill is complete gory violence with smart camera trickery like John Wick/Monkey Man, no groundbreaking execution at play. So, obviously no one is going to watch it anyway.

My rating for this movie is 10/10...never seen such action movie in Indian cinema..perfect timing and screenplay with brilliant action ...no unnecessary drag.
I honestly liked the movie, just watched it. It's so well made. One thing that I found missing though was lack of gravity and substance. This movie looked like a simple and straightforward robbery going south and turning into an impusive animosity. There were moments where the lead actor fell flat on acting, especially in the emotional scenes. Raghav was amazing, the picturization was great. Action sequences absolutely glorious. Having said that, the movie could've had more substance which would have increased its intensity. I saw another such movie from Bollywood a couple of years named Rocky Handsome. Although that movie didn't have such amazing and several action sequence in comparion, however I personally feel it had more substance. It felt more Gore. Eager to know what others feel about this.
I loved the film, I loved the cast and the Hero’s character name Amrit did complete justice. Not sure why but Raghav’s work could not appreciate so much, will watch again for sure!
From an Indian perspective, Monkeyman was was more like a fairytale, and not a good one at that. It seemed more like made by a foreigner who doesn't deeply know Indian culture and setting. The vibes and the cityscape never reminded me of India. The less said about its non existing storyline or screenplay, the better. That's my perspective. I am sorry I didn't like it. Kill was as real as it gets and looked like an Indian movie. It was a violent meeting of technically superior Lakshya (the protagonist) and vilest & resourceful Fani (the main villain). And unlike many other movies, you could watch the movie from the honest perspective of both the good guys as well the bad guys. The bad guys were brutal, but they cried when their kins died. It depicted realistically what each side must do to survive or prevail, that too while facing constantly changing circumstances.
