I wonder for how long they are going to tolerate this behavior, the guards can’t do their duties and some people are even mocking them. This is an situation where the guards and the horses have to deal with a very nasty work environment, something really needs to change too make this better ❤❤❤❤

How disrespectful of these people , and your own behaviour. Tourists you can't go around touching the king's life guards. That's completely damn rude when you are told to do something by the guards you do it. NEVER treat them badly , you should always show them politeness and up most respect that is what all rightly deserve horses too.

....well the soldier is standing like a statue 🗿. The whole thing is an inconsistency of roles. They are soldiers guarding a castle 🏰 that realistically doesn'need guarding. Now it's just cos-play (sorry). But they appear to be there for the tourist ( but they're not). Yes they are real soldiers , but not in real modern combat gear 💁. I respect them as I do anyone doing their part for the country. Let's face it. The army is there at the disposal of what ever corrupt Boris or Toney that's in power. We the people pay for them, but let's be real , we couldn't even stop an illegal Toney Blair war.
Yes, it seems obvious to us from this viewpoint, doesn't it? The problem arises from a clash of cultures along with a sense of entitlement many habitual tourists armed with camera equipment tend to expect nowadays.

Asians are the worst offenders when it comes to crossing the line and showing disrespect. The 2 Asian males with the selfie stick should have been literally escorted off of the property with a ban for at least 9 months if not longer. They may not have touched the Guard but they went out of their way to try to get a rise out of him which is why the Guard did not react. He DID NOT give them what they wanted.
I can’t fathom having a job that requires me to stand in the hot sun dressed in wool clothes and metal helmet. All the while having disgusting tourists from all over the world snapping pictures and touching me. Additionally, these soldiers have to protect their posts and the palace from any terrorist who wishes to blow them up. You definitely have my respect! Well done!

Beacause it's his job and that comes first , they are extremely disciplined believe me they are focused on the job and that's all .

I looked this over and over; she did not touch the guard. It was her large camera that brushed into the guard's buttocks, which, maybe for the guard, seemed to be intentional and obscene. It is completely a misunderstanding. People should not bring a considerable shoulder bag or camera to avoid this mishap.

Tourists do not understand the history of Horse Guards and think that they have been put there for amusment and the problem is when they are told off they cannot understand and look confused.

It's the obvious problem of when representatives of two vastly different life-styles collide in a public or semi-public space. The guards clearly have to maintain their dignified presence while in contrast, the common tourist on vacation has no such compulsion to do so at all.
